Applied this morning -- $50K at 16.9%, instant approval.

My biggest line of credit prior to this was $30K at NASA.

After reading this thread I couldn't help myself so I app'd. Was approved at 30k with a fico 790. This is my fourth capital one card and third Venture. My other two have been with me through my whole rebuilding process and after speaking with the EO a few years back were only moved to $7,500 each. My other card is a Quicksilver also at $7,500

Do you think that now that I have a 30k limit on one card I can go back to the EO and have them move up these two lines ?

I got a pre-approval for the Venture. Wasn't convinced since I'm 6 months out of BK and was still in their steps program but the Moscato made me do it, I pulled the trigger anyway. Wasn't an instant approval. I chopped it up to a loss.

I got three consectutive emails from Cap One, I had a CLI on both of my credit builder cards and then there it was, the Venture, I was pretty stoked that it was approved after all. I read the limit as 1K, it wasn't until a couple days later that I was copy and pasting into my excel that I realized that card wasn't a 1K approval that was a 10K freakin' approval. I'm in such disbelief that I've made such strides already.

You mean combine limits or go for CLIs?

Cap1 does not combine limits.

So tempted, they've bumped me from 2k to 4k on Platinum and 7500 to 8500 on my Venture One

in the past month.

So I know we're in good standings with each other. 15-20K? with 700's across the board?

At this point though I'm starting to feel like Ron1.

I still got a pending Citi AA app, maybe I should hit this before I finish that since that pulls already

done anyway, and the card won't show up yet.

Decisions.

I thought about it, gonna hold off, I got minimum spend on Ink I still have to satisfy. My monthly

spend overall is about 3-4k, so I wouldn't reasonably satisfy both at the same time, I'd lose out on

rewards. I'll wait 30 days

I mean increasing each of my $7500 lines individually. Anyone done this on their other cards once getting the big limit venture ?

IME, the cards you get from Capital One when your credit was imperfect only have so much potential - ever.

My reports are now pristine and I have > $500,000 in revolving credit. 10 of my 26 cards are >= $25,000, and my top three cards are $49,500, $54,200 and $55,000, yet even after two EO CLIs of ~3x and 2x my old Capital One card is STILL only at $10,000. I only have 6 out of 26 cards with lower limits, and the 6 includes some store cards.

I don't want a new Capital One card for any reason, and I just keep this old QS open for amusement purposes.

Curious to know the reason they give you when your request is denied?

Do you ever take the counter option or do you request a specific amount and it's all or nothing?

I do no-fee BTs (which I PIF before interest accrues) a few times a year, just for sport. I have almost $4k sitting on my QS now.

Last time I asked for $50,000 and said I'd accept less. I was only at $5,000 before the request, so I didn't expect the full amount, but I already had one > $50,000 reporting. I didn't expect to get only 10k.

Next time I'll ask for $25k, take it or leave it.

Had to app for the Venture since my buddy fresh out of BK just got 10k. Since I have been rebuilding longer, I was hoping for a 20k-30k approval.

Nope, approved for 10k. Getting close to 100k total.

I do the same thing. I have a perpetual no BT fee offer with an APR the same as purchases, so you need to PIF to avoid paying interest.

I have the same thing, but didn't know you could pay it off before accruing interest. I'll have to try it sometime soon.

The APR is the "same rate as purchases," which means you should NEVER do this if you are already carrying a balance on the card.
