I always PIF but now I have 3 cards that need minimum spending in the next 3 months.

You need a good M$ plan.

There are others here who will probably have far better ideas, but for me the easiest and fastest way is just use a merchant account to run the cards with minimum spend. It can cost about 3%, but in the end I still get $360 net out of the deal.

Yea, this isn't a great idea if it is your own merchant account. Most merchant account agreements stipulate you can't run your own cards through, and doing so causes risk of closure. I have read a few threads of this happening.

Safer option is to either use the identified M$ methods, or in a pinch, you can paypal someone you trust the funds for a 2.9% fee and have them write you a check/give you cash (would not advise having them send the cash back via PayPal).

does a paypal charge get billed as a cash advance?

If you indicate that it's for the purchase of goods or services it should not be considered a cash advance.

can I buy Walmart gift cards with a credit card and sell the gift card online? they seem to sell near full price.

Even if it sells for full price you are still losing money.

The seller pays eBay fees. And you pay PayPal fees. I think the total is about 5% or higher.

Your best option is to have your wife / brother / girlfriend get an account at Square. Swipe your CapOne card and pay the 2.95% fee. Since you get 2% rewards per swipe, in the end it costs you 1%. And it's fast and easy.

The square drops are whacked. They don't drop on the weekends, and they've been sitting on drops in the last two/three weeks.

What do you mean?

I just used Square to M$ the old ladie's BOA and got the $$ in my bank account in 3 days.

GoPayment and Flint also work great. GoPayment, though, does a hard pull. Flint is soft.

how do I get 2% rewards per swipe? Do you mean Venture? I also have other cards to M$ and I don't think they do anything more than 1 point.

Yes, the Venture.

Personally, I would not use this method for any M$ except to get a signup bonus that you can't otherwise meet.

I have spent hours reading about redbird, serve, bluebird and it sounds like a nightmare. people buying thousands in GC and some hacker skims it and takes the money and other pitfalls.

now redbird cc loads are dead? I will try to meet minimum spend by spending normally, then the last week, use square if I have any left.

Congrats!!

You should pick up at least one more card .

PIF all but one card (leave a 2.00 balance on one) every month before the statement cuts for optimal FICO scoring.

I just got approved $30,000 on the Venture card.

Bankruptcy filed in May 2015, EQ 624, TU ?, EX frozen

I have 4 other Capital One cards that I got after discharge, all with starting limits of $3,000 and current limits under $5,000. So yes they are on crack 10 times the previous starting limit.

Damn that is some serious approvals! Hubby can't app until sept when experian is clear. With his 791 current TU he should get a heck of a line unless they run out of crack by then. His highest currently is 9K Amex Fidelity

He can freeze EX, Capital One will approve with only EQ & TU.

Word.

No one deserves EX except Amex and Citi. The rest can scrounge for scraps. Unless.you're in a place where Citi pulls EQ, then everyone but AMEX can scrounge.

Why not just freeze Experian?

Wondering if now is the time to apply for a Venture. I have 4 cards, each has had a statement cut with a balance. its about 5k total showing and my total UTL is around 5-6%. As far as inquiries I have 2 EX, 3 TU, zero EQ. Income ~90k.

Should I get a couple/ few cards to cut at zero first before I apply? I'm also going on vacay soon and will be spending a bit which will prob take a couple months to get my profile back to tip top shape. Debating on applying right now as is or having to wait 2 months to take a crack at it... Any thoughts? Thanks!
