She is doing super well :D

They couldn't find any detectable amounts of leukemia in her spinal fluid, or bone marrow. Which means, once she's done with the 2 1/2 years of chemo, she has less than a 5% chance of the leukemia ever coming back :yahoo:

AND!!! She was given clearance to make quick runs to the store occassionally, AND!!!! To go to Disneyland this weekend :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

I just read this..... I have happy tears at my desk right now :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

They took Gab off of the blood pressure meds. :yahoo:

So for the rest of this month, she only has one more lumbar puncture, one pill a day, and another ("Yummy!") med twice a day over the weekend. :yahoo:

How has baby been doing?

Really good on this cycle :D.

She starts a new cycle next week, that's also supposed to be pretty easy, which I like. The one after that is supposed to suck, I hear. Bleh.

But she's been playing, and runnnig around, and acting like herself. At our last clinic visit, she was telling the nurses and anesthesiologist where stuff went and what to do

Glad to hear baby girl is doing better. Still sending prayers and thoughts your way!!! :clapping:

Just left clinic with her roadmap for this cycle... It lasts 57 days this time (weird!). She goes for IV chemo every 10 days starting tomorrow, and ending on day 41 (so total of 5 times), and has one lumbar on day 31. Then she's off from day 41 to 57!! She has today left on her oral chemo we give her at home, then no meds at home except the bactrim she gets Saturday and Sunday (a "yummy" grape one she likes).

So. Awesome. :D :D :D

I am so glad things are going well, but of course she takes after mom and is a fighter.

Awesome news. I'm so glad for all of you that things seem to be rolling along without a hitch (knock on wood).

I know!! :D :D

I'm so excited for a 2 month "break". As long as her numbers are good in her labs today, we can... well... live like normal. It's SO EXCITING. :yahoo:

The cycle after this sucks, though, I hear...

Teehee!! :D

She's doing really well. She's had some issues with the chemo this month, but it's a good thing... her counts were SO GOOD, they upped her dosage, which caused some side effects. But they were little ones, like not wanting to eat a lot, and her feet go numb for a few days after treatment.

She's gotten super comfortable with the infusion center visits, too. She likes to help access her port (gross), and transfer her blood to the vials (Creepy). It's a pretty equal mix of creepy and awesome.

We've got a couple more infusion center visits next month, and one lumbar puncture, but then I think 2 or 3 weeks totally off :yahoo:
