As some of you may know from a previous thread, I sent flowers to Experian. This thread is the updated results of what happened. PLEASE lets not start arguing in this thread like yesterday. I'm just posting the outcome for those who wanted to know. Please refrain from posting negative remarks. Thanks.

So, they got my flowers and my FedEx. I sent a nice letter to Peg Smith at Experian explaining my problems and asking for help. Then, I included a second sheet in the package that had a copy of my Experian report "redlined" with the problems highlighted for every TL I wanted to dispute. Well, today I get a call from a lady named J. J is the administrative assistant to Mrs. K. D. Mrs. D is the Executive Vice President of Investor Relations at Experian, and her "stage name" is Peg Smith. So, Peg Smith is not a real name but Janae monitors that email address and handles all communications for Mrs. D. Mrs. D got my flowers, and my FedEx, and after reading my letter asked Janae to follow up with me. :)

Anyways, after joking a little about my flowers ( ) Janae asked me if I could take part in a teleconference with some other people. I agreed and just had an hour long phone call with a bunch of people from Experian. I had to dial into a conference system and enter a conference PIN but had to wait 2 hours from the time she originally called me to the time I called in to the conference. I couldn't sit still at work trying to figure out what the call would be about.

Well, they wanted to hear my "story" in hopes of having better communication with consumers. So, after being complimented by several of the guys in the conference room on my tactics in "attention getting" we moved on to business. I told them the whole story, how I can't dispute, how I get nowhere, and we even went over each TL I was disputing and why line by line. They were in agreement that there was definitely a communication problem both between myself and Experian, but also Experian and the various creditors.

Then they started to tell me how this whole dispute process within Experian works in regards to "blocked disputes" and frivolous disputes. They told me that Experian will block ANY dispute that does not seem to be written by the average consumer. In explanation, I was told that disputes that have heavy legal terminology, are on a corporate letterhead, and things of that nature, get routed COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY than disputes that are "informal" such as "homemade" disputes. The disputes that are routed because of legal terminology and such go to a manual review where someone will read it and make a decision if its a valid consumer initiated dispute, or if its a "credit fix firm" dispute. If its a credit fix firm dispute (i.e. Lexington Law) they will "tag" your social security number because they deem the practices of these types of firms to be frivolous in nature. So, what they are saying essentially, and I asked for clarification is that if it doesn't appear to be written by you, or it looks like an automated letter, from that point forward, you are completely screwed. The chances of future disputes even getting processed completely to the point of dispute entry is slim. I asked the legalities in this and they stated that it has been threw the courts already. They stated disputes are best written in a letter stating the account number, creditor, problem with the TL, reason for dispute, and your information. Nothing more. Anything more than that and you could potentially be tagged. I then asked about the letter that says "it appears that your dispute is not written by you" that I received and they stated that once you get that letter, you have already been tagged. From that point forward, every dispute you send will get the secondary processing and then you leave it up to someone to determine if you really wrote the letter or if its Lexington Law. If that person feels you didn't write the letter, you'll get the brick wall on the dispute. Once you do it once, you're screwed from that point forward on your entire credit file, not just that single TL.

Moving on, we got into the inaccuracies of my TL's. They have agreed to do a "Manual Review." The manual review excludes the use of computer automation where Experian will forward a copy of my dispute (scanned) to a representative contact at each creditor for response usually via email. Same rules still apply as normal disputes (30 days.) The creditor will then have to fix, delete, or validate the entire TL. According to Experian, the ONLY times they do this is if you are a victim of fraud with an police report on record that they have a copy of, or if you dispute your social security number they have on record. Those are the only two times they will manually review and contact the creditor manually.

After about an hour of discussions, it all closed with me getting a direct phone number and email address to a senior consumer relations supervisor (this person is not someone who you would ever talk to on the phone if you ever called into the normal experian numbers and does not handle daily disputes) should I have any further issues. This person promised to also call me when the dispute process is complete so we can go over all the details of what happened. Then they thanked me for my time and input, one last joke about the flowers, and that was that.

In closing, that $100.00 I spent on flowers is probably the best money I ever spent in regards to anything to do with credit. After I got off the phone with them, I went to the Experian back door and checked, sure enough, ALL the TL's I disputed are showing "being investigated."

So, that is that. Believe what you like, I'm just repeating what I was told, and I have no idea how much of what they told me was B.S. or not. Sometimes things work that shouldn't. I'm just happy I got the outcome I was looking for. $100.00 well spent. Feel free to ask any questions and so everyone knows before they ask, I'm not giving out the contact info to the consumer relations lady, sorry.

I 'tried' following the previous thread but uhmmm...it was sort of all over the place in terms of consistency. Good for you if things got sorted though!

I must admit, you have BIG ONES to sit on the phone with those people going over your CR line for line when you know you defaulted on ALL your debt and the negative entries should be there :o

I would love to know what you pointed out, technicalities??? I am amazed :P

me too.

I call B*S* and I can't believe you would post employee names in this thread

I have a hard time believing that they just toss letters with too much legal verbiage in the trash and then "blacklist" you as a legal-letter-writer and ignore you.

You may be right though that a simple name, SSN, TL, issue letter is best received.

I'd take those names out of the post though.

Wow- congratulations, RDG! I know you caught a lot of heat yesterday, and i have to say that this is one of the most groundbreaking info posts I've read recently on here :o Soneone actually had a long talk-interview session with The Devil. Good job! I also got one of those "not from you" letters, so I'll make note of that when I send my written dispute in a couple months

As per your request I'm refraining from posting any negative remarks.......or positive ones..!!

Usually when I send a dozen roses it's to get out of the dog house or to obtain some n**ky....!!

Did you at least get a date with Jane Doe or the future promise of one..?

I pointed out the flaw in the TL's. They didn't care about the TL's themselves. They wanted to hear "what" exactly is wrong with the way its being reported. Everything I disputed is legitimate and the one I tried to "slip by" they called me on so it didn't get disputed. :P

I wasn't going to post in any more of the OP's threads, but if you believe this story I have a bridge you can buy cheap. The OP posted a life story over on the FICO forum that is totally different than what he has posted here. Not only that, there are at least three issues that he has contradicted himself on this board alone.

Do not follow any of this OP's advice. He can't be trusted, he can't keep his stories straight.

Like I said, please keep negative comments to yourself. No need on thrashing a thread. Some people may find it beneficial. Some don't. If you don't, please move on. I'm only going to address non-attacking questions anyways. Thanks.
