Just had a breakthrough with Synchrony GECRB...

This morning I went on a CLI spree with them

Walmart 12k to 20k

Amazon 10k to 25k

Lowes 10k to 25k

By the time I got to the 3rd request, they placed me on hold about 6 to 8 minutes and then came back on the phone and told me they would have to refer my last request to a "senior credit analyst" and that they would call me in an hour.

2 hours past before someone called me back saying that he was a senior credit analyst and had reviewed my request for 25k on my Lowes. No Mention of the previous requests.

He said I was close to my "maximum exposure" for my stated income and he could accommodate my request if I could choose credit limits I wanted to reduce in my other cards. He said I could specify any amounts from any of my Synchrony lines and I could leave them open if I wish.

I elected to steal from my JCP and Chevron accounts.

So I guess this is a new thing since I have not heard anyone saying this was possible with them.

So cool...

Congrats. What is the max exposure for Synchrony? 30 percent of your income?

$100,000 is max if I recall correctly. That could be over 3 cards or 10. Choose wisely. :D

Somewhere above $100K. I know there are people here with well over that.

I'm hoping they finally give me something through the UW for Walmart. They've been very easy with Lowe's.

I know it could be spread out over cards. The two I have are the two I'm sticking with. I don't own a home so Lowe's doesn't do a thing for me, and there's nothing else on their 'ledger' that could be useful as the ones I have. Next goal is getting CLIs on the two Synch cards and getting a prime card so I can tell CreditOne to pound sand.

Synchrony got cheap with me well below $100,000.

I had:

$35,000 on PayPal Extras MC (went to there from $7,000 in one recon)

$15,000 on my W*****t D******r (went to there from ~$1,700 in one recon)

and when I called for recon on the Ebates Visa they refused to budge over $15,000, which was the auto-approval amount. Maybe I got a grouchy analyst.

Any GPs willing to just call up and ask if they'll move the limit from "Synchrony Card A" to "Synchrony Card B," and then close "Synchrony Card A"?

For me and my score and TU profile, its 100% of stated income...

My household income is at 261k but I wanted to use only my net income which is 120k...

I might on Monday. Have no use for my Rooms To Go card, but would like that limit moved to my WM or Lowes.

That would be great. I'm looking for more depth for this thread.

Even a "no" is useful.

Just remember I was referred to senior credit analyst on a weekend...

Every time I call Synchrony Recon I get the very nice and lovely ladies with Indian accents...

The call I got was someone who sounds he was stateside...

Just an observation....

why didn't you move a ton from both WM and Amazon and create a 60k+ card?

I use both WM and AMA quite a lot... and take advantage of the 0% financing for large purchases...

Plus Lowe's doesn't need to be that big for me...
