Tax Refund-Direct Deposit

Date was officially changed this morning to the 21st and if I don't see it by the 26th to call them, which wasn't there before. So I'm going to assume it will be there on the 21st.

news report this morning said the refund status link on the IRS website is broken, giving false info & wont be fixed for a few days...

Fed return will be available tomorrow and State says it will deposit tomorrow which might be available on Monday. I had already changed my allowances on the taxes and based on what I got for this payroll, I will be paying both Uncle Sam and State next year.

Still nothing, thankfully. Registration is STILL open and airfare is ridiculous.... if I had the extra cash, I'd be booking right now.

we can buy appliances this weekend tax-free from any store..... the State did this last year, some kind of stimulus crap... just when I talked myself out of a dishwasher....hmmmm

 

when we get the fed back, Im gonna get 2 doors replaced and be done with it...everything goes into the hard to reach rainy day fund until later this year

Yes my relative refund was late. The "Where the refund" is working now. The key is looked for the words your refund is scheduled to be directly deposited on a certain date. However, my relative refund is now at the bank's warehouse waiting to deposited. I think they should of made it available immediately since they were late. Depending on your banks procedures if your refund is scheduled for Tuesday 2/21/2012 it could be available Sat, Sun, Mon or Tue. Check with your bank to make sure to avoid overdrafts.

*sigh* I just got a new-to-me van. I can hear a belt or pulley type squeal. So that will have to be fixed. DH has started driving the car that I drove for the last few years. His car (which was originally mine before kids) is now sitting in the driveway. We can't decide what to do with it. I drove it a few days ago, just for fun, and backed it in to it's regular spot. Hopped out and happened to glance down at the tires. It definitely needs new tires. Ugh.

 

I do. not. know. how. I married a man that pays no attention to the upkeep on the vehicles. That's why I swipe his occasionally just to check all the tags, tires, last oil change and to make sure it's not making funny noises. And I am miffed, because new tires were not on my list.

DH did our returns...we agreed to split the $$.... he immediately talked of replacing the bay window & patio door ( as been planned for over a year now)and another entry door that we never use but noticed it letting in massive amounts of cold air....

 

Im not sure if he notices the sounds his car his making....he better concentrate on his car.... I'll get one door replaced and the other stuff can wait til later

I have been running the flights through itasoftware for weeks. I briefly caught a flight for $380, but it was gone FAST. Everything since has been $450+. Usually closer to $575. Rude.

It's pending in my account now. I guess we will see if it clears. I'm really surprised after reading everything in this thread.

Got mine yesterday as a pending transaction but available for use. Was scheduled for the 21st. Guess with the holiday they put it in early. No complaints here finally!!!

Wow. What kibbles and bits did you guys do? I went and filed because of this thread (figured it would take forever) and my return was deposited and cleared, and is also almost already spent.
