Do all Barclays cards come with a free cs?

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2

Neither of mine do. :(

I think this is a holdover from when some of the cards were Junipers. I missed the famed "junami".

Just to note a quirk: I did get in on "junami" (good times back in '06!). Closed out my Juniper card 2 years later to open a new Barclays card.

Ever since, I still receive occasional emails from Juniper announcing a change in my TU TransRisk score -- no way to see the updated score though through Barclays. (Tried the method noted above and didn't work.)

Some email lists have memories longer than elephants do.

This is great news! I can't see anything for my Ameriprise or Ring card. I have a hard time believing that they'd provide a FICO based on select products but not others. That wouldn't make sense.

GECRB, for e.g., does just that-only offers FICO on Walmart products AFAIK.

Don't see anything on former haacard-now a Barclays Rewards card IIRC or Ring either.

Pretty much every card in your wallet (and perhaps also every one in your sock drawer!) has some feature that its issuer hopes you find unique. Why would a FICO be any different?

Good point, however I'm not sure if it is GECRB or Walmart itself that gives a FICO score.

True, but I would think giving a FICO score would be a company wide thing for all products as a FICO score is the common link in issuing all products regardless of each card's individual features.

The monthly FICO is a unique feature of the Walmart cards (store and Discover), which are issued by GECRB. None of the other GECRB cards offer this.

Guys, the FICOs may be active now. I tried logging into my Barclays account yesterday and got a "we're upgrading the website" message, so I figured this might be why.

Sure enough, when I go to "Tools" there's a FICO score link. ('Course, I couldn't get mine because of an issue with TU's info; I'm pretty sure it was because my address was bollixed up. Fixed that atTU, but of course I'll have to wait for Skynet to update...)

Disclaimer: My card used to be a Juniper/Carnival, so YMMV.

I think you are right. I went to https://www.barclaycardus.com/servicing/score while already logged in and I was prompted to Accept the terms and add my FICO score to my onlne info. Screenshot below.

Unfortunately, I was unable to display a score. Maybe I need to wait three weeks?

Is your card new? Mine's not...I just assumed the issue with mine was reason #3 or whatever because TU has been wonky about IDing me at times.

But maybe they're still not quite ready for us?

My card was opened in December 2012. Do you think the three weeks is from the time of the card being open or for signing up for the FICO service?

I can see the error message when logged in to all 3 of my Barclay's cards.

I'm thinking that if "Tools and Education" doesn't show an actual link for FICO score,

there won't be one provided.

Interesting, I just tried this. Took me to a view your TU Fico page but then got this

"Unfortunately, we're unable to display your FICO® Score. Possible causes and resolutions include:

  • New cardmembers
  • It may take up to 3 weeks for a FICO® Score to be posted for new accounts.
  • Credit freeze
  • You may have asked TransUnion to freeze your credit file, so it cannot be accessed without your permission. The freeze would need to be removed from your TransUnion credit file before we can display your FICO® Score as part of this program.
  • Personal information not matching
  • The personal information (name, address, Social Security number) on your Barclaycard account does not match the information at TransUnion. Please contact the number on the back of your card to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. After that, you should contact TransUnion to validate your personal information on your credit file with them"

Now I do have a freeze on TU. I guess its time to unfreeze and see whatagwan.....will update and report.

I got the same message during the opt-in. I guess I have to wait 3 weeks to know for sure. I have the Apple Financing card.

It is also under tools on my Barclay Ring. It must be a work in progress. If you go to email and text alerts on mine there is an alert for fico score going up or down.

I got the same message. I have been a card member for 3 years. I don't think TU is frozen either, but it very well maybe.

In any event i asked for a CLI 2 weeks ago & when they sent my leter with the new limit the letter said my TU score was 738.
