Why does no one ever invite me to their little Tri things and 5K runs? I wouldn't come, but still...

Because the only running you do is your mouth. And the only swimming you do is wallowing in the tears of your enemies.

I need to do a detox. I am feeling blah. Did some Crossfit this morning and walked 2 miles. Will get another mile in in another hour or so. Feeling stuck right now. :( Sent using Tapatalk 2

Ive been eating like crap all weekend and definitely feel the difference... no sense for me to detox because with traveling & such for next week or so, I dont see it getting much better....

I have marathon #5 in a few weeks.

I've had the worst, worst, worst training cycle, because I'm lazy/busy/quasi-injured.

I hope I don't die.

Since I have a change in lifestyle and based at home...I've been dragging my butt to the gym...morning or lunch...I'm already signed up for a fitness meeting in June in Miami, and there's no way I'm showing up there looking flabby or crawling South Beach jiggly....

Jeans are starting to fit again. Amazing what a few months of eating right and moderate exercise can do. Now if I could just kick it up a notch to actually sweat when I work out, I might get to my goal in time for Halloween

Yes. Somehow.

Apparently I like living on the edge, because I'm running San Francisco Marathon again in 2 weeks.

Check back after that?

Where does everyone buy their gym clothes? I got a couple of shirts at Target, but after a couple of washes they shrink. Any suggestions? I am willing to spend a little more to get a decent shirt/tank.

I think workout clothes are very much based on personal preference. With that said, I'm a die-hard Under Armour (UA) fan. Their clothes are sold at most sporting good stores, and there is an Under Armour factory outlet store near me. 90% of the things I wear to exercise in are either UA (expensive) or Lululemon (VERY expensive). It's worth it for me to spend the money because they last so long. I spend exponentially more on workout gear than I do on regular clothes :)

I ALMOST have my friend convinced to do this next year. She is worried it's going to be too hot, though...

Brazen, I really like the Target C9 stuff - I don't think I've had any issues with their stuff shrinking? I also have accumulated a massive quantity of race shirts - my favorite are nike. I wouldn't buy Nike in general, because I have so much stuff already, but I like it.

Also, I'm addicted to Lulu :(. It is expensive, but there are great clearance finds sometimes (I just picked up a shirt a few weeks ago for $24!), and their stuff lasts FOREVER.

SFM is NOT a hot race. At all. The weather is pretty much ideal. I don't think that I've ever heard of a bad year, weather-wise.

Your friend is a crazy person. I ran last year in a tank, skirt, knee socks, and arm sleeves, and it was PERFECT.

Also, I want you to come do it!!! :D :D

I used to do Target, especially for the pants, but I started doing Kohls and I'm in love with their apparel and prices.

Shirts: Cool, slimming because of the design but loose and comfortable, overall awesome

Pants: Light, controlling, moisture wick, overall awesome but gets restrictive in the calfs if you're not being active

Haven't updated here in awhile. I'm down a total of 130 pounds. I still have 50-70 more that I'd like to lose. Finding it comical when I run into people I haven't seen in a while and I have to tell them who I am! I put a pic up on Facebook for the first time in years and a friend that my sister and I grew up with asked her who was the person in the pic on my wall. She had no idea it was me.

WB Minnie!

Good to see you around.

And Tee you are a red hot mama in your black dress picture, damn you are sexy lady. :clapping:

Giraffy I got a bunch of C9, I am in love with them. My 12yo DD steals them, we are about the same size..LOL. I am taking a short break from Pilates, I did something to my knee and ankle. And now my ankle keeps swelling everytime I walk any length of time on it.

I need to kick it into to high gear tho, last 10 lbs I want to shave off before vacation next month. Ugh. I'm wondering if I can do it with just weights, and not weight bearing on my right leg. Any ideas?

Brazen, can you get to a pool?

I am obviously outside my mind, and registered for a tri. Swimming is kicking my azz. Great workout, and practically zero impact. Also, I've heard pool running is good, too, for cardio - you need a belt thing to help you float for that, but I think they're inexpensive.

Hey everyone  ,

Just had a McDonald's meal - Deluxe burger, large fries, and 2 apple pies. But it's ok, the drink was a diet Coke.

I'd been doing so good since mid-January when I started a couch to 5K program. I run 5K every other day and walk or stationary bike most off days. During this time period I've lost 48 lbs and have downsized from a painfully tight size 16 jeans to a comfy fitting size 12. I still have another 30 lbs to go. But kind of falling apart lately with the binging this week. Gained back a pound or two. So thought I'd post something here and hopefully pull myself together and get back on track.

BTW, jogging in near 100 degree heat is, well, hot! :o

So, who else has broken a sweat lately, or considering doing so?
