  1. $15K is almost unheard of for Target/TD Bank. A few years ago I would have agreed with you. However the past couple of years has shown TD Bank be very generous to regular Target customers who has excellent credit profiles. I'm at $14K on my Target card, it gets used every month and PIF'ed every month. Thanks Indy. How much spend do you put monthly on the card? My regular Redcard was converted to MC a few months ago but CLI to $3K.I used to charge more on the card but not lately. This quarter I am using Discover with 5% CB. I also had my limit increased recently when my store card was converted to MC.It surprised me since I was going months between uses. I recently activated my Target MC and used it on September 29 after not using my store card since March 1. A couple days later I received a letter dated Sept 27 letting me know my card was in danger of being closed for inactivity. Oops! But now that it's a MC it'll be easier for me to keep active. Mine won't be used anywhere else. So, it does not matter if it is an MC or not. I'd go more often if they were closer to me, but they're no longer nearby since my last move.

  3. Doesn't look like they had been updating your report for a few years, until your recent dispute. If that's the case then unfortunately that probably hurt your score. Are you trying to get it removed because you're applying for a mortgage or something? Do you have positive accounts? You may be better off focusing on rebuilding rather than repairing.
  4. Two apps actually: Capital One Mobile and Capital One Wallet. And they have more features than Amex, Chase, BofA apps. You can even do CLI requests from the apps. Plus an Alexa skill: http://www.capitalone.com/alexa
  5. Did you provide new information or use a new reason for those trade lines that were previously disputed?
  6. My understanding is that at least FHA and VA allow for a 2 year look back on overtime and bonus pay. I'll be including both when I finally get ready to apply for a mortgage soon.
  7. Do a google search on that last group of numbers within the link. (oops - was answered while I was typing)
  8. Here's February 2016 article about Fannie Mae's new trended data requirement: https://support.credittechnologies.com/kb/a1176/fnma-announces-trended-data-requirement_.aspx
  9. You can check here: https://www.visa.com/supplierlocator/search/index.jsp# Enter the MCC code 5941 and Bud's zip code 40505 and you'll see they're on the list.
  10. I can share my experience with a Chase CO, but not sure how relevant it is since it was a while ago. The CO date was June 2011 for $6,000. I received collection letters from 5 different CAs between June 2011 and July 2013, with offers ranging from $1,300 to $2,400. A few months after the last letter Chase sent me a 1099-C. This was around the time when "Chase suspended collections litigation in 2011 and stopped selling debts in 2013." https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsroom/cfpb-47-states-and-d-c-take-action-against-jpmorgan-chase-for-selling-bad-credit-card-debt-and-robo-signing-court-documents/ Well, this is certainly intriguing. Thanx TX! I've spent the last hour trying to find more, but it's tough because so many Google searches just bring up news reports about the 2013 CFPB lawsuit and the 2015 settlement. I did find this guy who repeatedly says "Chase stopped selling debt in 2013", but haven't been able to find independent confirmation. OTOH, I also haven't been able to find any reports of Chase selling debt since 2013 either. I did find a single report of someone with a 2014 chargeoff which is still owned by Chase. And I also learned that Chase does still maintain their own collections department. If Chase is going to hold the debt then I think letting it chargeoff is really the way to go here. That way, once she's more stable she'll still be dealing with the OC who is legitimately owed the debt. Did Chase notify you they'd be issuing a 1099-C? We'd want to make sure it was paid off before then if at all possible. No, not by letter anyway. And I woudln't know if they would have during an in-house collections call since I never answered the phone.

  12. The last time I ordered hard copies via the telephone number I received EQ and EX, but not TU. I called in to speak to a TU rep who, after confirming they had my address correct, said they'd get another report sent out. Less than a week later I received 2 envelopes containing a TU report on the same day. So I'd suggest calling the CRAs to see if they'll resend.
  13. What I did for my recent Disney trip was to use my BCP 6% cash back to buy Disney gift cards at a grocery store (Krogers) whenever they had a 4x gift card sale. I have a small car so my total savings were about $30 per $250 gift card. But if someone has a bigger gas tank(s) then of course it'd be a bigger savings.
  14. I had a PP Extras MC that got balance chased and closed. Is that considered "burning" them, even if I never missed any payments? Anyway, I was able to app for the MC with the same email address. (Though they gave me a smart connect card instead.)
  15. Awesome progress DinNC. Good luck with those last remaining baddies.
