CTSoxFan Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I am testing the ability to move Citi lines again. I went through the EO to move the line from my plat AA card to my new Exec AA card. They said they would require a pull, I asked that they use the pull from 3 days prior that was used to approve the card. Was supposed to receive an answer mid-week, will update with results. Update 1 - Just logged in and saw that they moved the limit on my new Exec card to 30K and the limit on my old card down to 18K. This would mean they reallocated 4K of the 22K I requested. They have not called me back yet, but I am not happy with the situation. At least, as of this morning, they had not done another HP. If I find out they did a hard to move 4K I'm going to be pissed. Will update further as status changes or when I hear back from EO. Quote

The person did ask if I was aware that if they moved the whole limit, they would have to close the donor card and if I was OK with that...really, you mean you wouldn't let me keep open a card with a $0 CL... Will update if I hear back today or if I notice any changes to my account online. Quote

Update 3 - Looked online and they had moved $20K of the CL to the new card (getting warmer). Got a call from the EO informing me of this. I asked why they couldn't move the other $2K. She said that $2K was the minimum CL for the other card. I asked why they couldn't just move the last $2K over and close the card. The person said they would put the request in and get back to me (umm...this is the third time I said that was what I wanted). Looked online again and the old card is closed, but the $2K has not been moved...we'll see what happens. Quote

As of now, they have used the HP from the Exec app, and haven't gotten any additional HPs (knocking wood furiously...) Quote

Tremendous progress... it's a head scratcher why your simple requests are so difficult to fulfill... but this gives me hope that the existing CL on my still-unused Dividend card could be portable, along with that of one of the two AAdvantage cards I'll end up keeping. I'll keep my eyeballs on any new updates. Quote
CTSoxFan Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 So still no HP from Citi, so it looks like I accomplished my goal, and was able to use the existing pull. So, in conclusion, I would say Citi is doable, but it requires a HP and EO intervention. Certainly not the easiest route, but a path nonetheless. Quote

cv91915 Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 The 13th statement just closed on my Amex Hilton Surpass. I just called and moved the max amount of $24,500 of the limit (out of $25,000) to my SPG. The rep noted that some of the limit reallocations are instantly approved, and some have to be referred to a credit team for review. This explains why my two prior requests were accepted by the CSR but later rejected. After asking for my annual income, the request was instantly approved. The 13th statement makes all the difference. He mentioned that the new limit would take 15 minutes to appear online, but it was there immediately. My $49,500 SPG is now my second highest limit. Quote

impaladre63 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Question: What if i'm planning on downgrading from Bcp to Blue cash everyday, would i have to wait out the 13 statements and pay the annual fee just to move all my limits (except $500) over to the BCE? If i do i still think it would be worth it, planning on apping for the Hilton Honors in January after i try for the 3x cli maybe by the 13th statement i'll have another cli by then to move over Quote
