Is this the most up-to-date address for mailing dispute letters to Experian:

I found these 3 and don't know which to use:

Experian

Attention: Consumer Assistance

P.O. Box 2104

Allen TX 75013

(888) 397-3742

www.experian.com

OR:

701 EXPERIAN PARKWAY, PO BOX 2002, ALLEN, TX 75013, 888.397.3742

OR:

PO Box 9556, Allen TX 75013-9556

I can't find an address on their site at all, it seems like it's all online only but I want to use mail.

Thanks!

I ran my CR on their site on 2/12/2008, on my report it says to use:

Experian

P. O. Box 9595

Allen, TX 75013

In return, I used this address to file an dispute on the same day, CM, they

received it today.

I think Experian have and use many addressees, maybe to side track you

some what.

Why do there work for them and send your letter to a dedicated dispute address?

Send all your letters to their head quarters and let their internal mailing system get your letter to the right department.

After all, nothing in the FCRA says you can only mail your dispute letters to a dispute address.

I just purchased a credit report from Experian a few days ago, and also used the annual credit report site to get a report, and both of those reports listed the address to contact them as:

NCAC

P.O. Box 9556

Allen, TX 75013

I did send them a dispute by certified mail return receipt requested for my husband on april 15th, and I just got the green card back, so I believe that is the correct address. it did take a few days longer for me to get the green card back from EXP than it did from EQ TU though. :)

as far as I know, EXP doesn't list thier address on their website. I searched for it, and came up with nothing. it is listed on the last page of my report, and all it says is "Contacting Us " and lists the address and phone # and hours.

I just tried to send a CMRRR to Experian at the PO Box 9556 address, and it has gone missing. Sent on June 9, and has not shown as being received in the USPS system as of today (6/26). Guess I'll try the physical address next.

For what it's worth, I sent a dispute to box 9555 on 6/5 and it didn't get a delivery scan until 6/26. (Only Express Mail gets point-to-point tracking on customer-accessible systems; Certified, Registered, and Delivery/Signature Confirmation only have to show a delivery scan online or over the phone, not intermediate scans.) If it's been 30 days, take your receipt for whatever service you requested to the post office and ask them to look it up; they should refund the extra service if it was never fulfilled (i.e. the mailpiece was lost or delivered without fulfilling the scan and/or signature terms of the service).

Don't do that. They ALWAYS do tell you to include a copy of your DL.

DL information is OPTIONAL for a credit file, like a phone number or spouse name, and the law does NOT support requesting it...

This is how the a-holes at Experian are trying to track your driver information, which is against the law. If you provided, it's voluntarily there.

The only time you need to include is for proof of address for changes of address. Then and ONLY then should you send - AND BLACK OUT YOUR DL # but NOT your expiration & issue dates. Otherwise, they will respond: "You need to provide current, valid photo ID" like the automatons they are. Include a nasty note about how they aren't allowed to track your driver's license file or number by law!

Just a DOB and SSN is fine, dudes.

They can get your DL info without you volunteering it. It does no harm to send it - it is cross referenced with your SSN, and available via Choicepoint, along with vehicle registration info.

In the past 30+ years I have NEVER sent a copy of my DRIVER'S LICENSE

Everything they need is in the letter

NAME

ADDRESS

CITY

ST

ZIP+4

(PREVIOUS ADDRESS)

D.O.B.

SS#

Others do it all the time

I always wonder if they send a copy of DL and SS card with their mother's day card :good:

Just to update - I was searching for an Experian mailing address today and came across this thread.

I just got off of the phone with Experian and this is the dispute address given to me:

PO Box 9701

Allen, TX 75013

Just an FYI: That address differs from their 'contact' address that is present on my credit report.
