I should add that almost exactly one year ago --

2/14/2014 -- this exact same score/source was 607.

What a difference a year can make.

A true Wiki Wahine.

(college girlfriend once informed me she was a "wiki wahine." I wasn't sure what, exactly, what that meant until later that night. You put a new interpretation on it.)

I'm still researching this.

I'm inclined to take it as a compliment,

but I like to know the exact nature of stuff.

They say that 800 puts you in the top 20%. My guess is that a large percentage of the people with 800+ scores (like my 90yo mother-in-law, it turns out) have no idea that they even have a high credit score.

Bingo. Gf had an 820+ score on the old EQ FICO 4. She signed up for the free FICO and then canceled. I had to strongly coerce her to do so. She has zero interest in credit related stuff no matter how much I tell her stories of spurious baddies that show up and that she should really check her credit reports. She just couldn't care less and probably will continue to do so if someone doesn't steal her id and go on a shopping spree.

BDK nailed it. From my pov you tackled your credit with abandon and speed like a tiger.

Yeah, it's the kind of stuff not many people really want to know much about unless they more or less need to know about it or are worried about it.

Certainly not as interesting to most as celebrity news or sports or whatever they're into following.

Yeah. She knows all the celeb names. No idea why. Seems like a strange affliction. OTOH, she wonders why I care about following consumer credit related stuff. Sometimes I wonder too.

Could be. I just remember it was around 820 and was way higher than mine at the time. I tend to remember round numbers and it was a couple years ago. I guess that's what 30 years, multiple CCs, and a clean record produce.

Right now I sit with a 757 and my wife sits with a 775

Whats funny 7 months ago she was denied a cap1 and I had a cap1 300

starting in January my cap1 rose to 3,300 and she applied for a Barclay and was given 25,000 really, really

how the heck that happened my credit score rose 175 points and hers 250 points.....

Umm wouldn't your 30-something year old peaked in high school boyfriend be kind of upset by you getting hitched and all??

Clearly you haven't been paying attention. :P
