JPMorgan Palladium Card

Well I got various alerts via smart credit and my other daily puller services to indicate they pulled my credit. Once I knew this I called that number and someone told me I was approved for $25k.

How long did it take from when you were approved to receive the card and for it to appear on chase.com ?

I got an email from an advisor on thursday morning indicating I was approved (which I already knew). I called later to find out when the card would be shipped and they said 4-5 days. However, the account popped up online yesterday. I just need to know when to be waiting for the UPS man like a kid on christmas.

my email said 4-5 days too but it came much sooner.

 

it did not require a signature.

 

just don't put your eye out.

I got approved for it yesterday but its still not online with the sapphire card. I also had to refax the original app with the authorized users. They said its quicker then anothersignature form. The only problem was getting my 9 year old to sign without hearts over the i's in her name. In the end i let her do it.

Do we have to tell chase our online ID before the account shows up or can they look up the existing online ID by ssno and link the new card to existing online id?

It showed up on chase.com with my premier accounts without me telling them anything.

When I opened Chase deposit/savings accts I also selected a Freedom Visa Siggy. I set up online access at the same time. One week later the card was added to the account list and the card was in the next day's mail.

 

The Palladium card was NOT on the preapproved screen. lol.

$595 Annual Fee????? Not outrageous. Most of us spend more than that on a simply fly-drive vacation. I give credit to those here who can make the numbers work for them. I can't.

 

Also, if I flashed such a card with my friends, they would call me pretentious rather than classy. I'll stick with my no AF plastics, which also may be used to scrape ice off of my windshield ........

Have any of you tried to book for a hotel stay at one of the partner hotels yet? From what I saw in the card details this card has something similar to Amex Platinums FHR program where they give you a room upgrade, stay credits, etc but obviously at less locations than the FHR program. If so are the properties listed online and can you book online? One thing I don't like about my Sapphire Preferred card is that you cannot book a cruise online instead it gives you a generic detail and tells you to call the 800 number to book. I'd rather be able to sit there and see what time I can book for rather than sit on the phone asking an agent to do searches for me.

the selection is rather limited. I did use the concierge for a rez at a non-participating hotel and got a rate lower than amex quoted and qualified for a free upgrade to a suite (1400 sq/ft).

so the owner of a small, local cafe did not believe my Pd card was a real credit card. I did not know if I should laugh or worry he called the police. I prevailed on him, however, to swipe it and see what his visa machine said. Interestingly he said nothing about me not meeting the posted "minimum purchase with credit card $15" policy.

Yeah. They are more than happy to overnight it to you but I told them regular mail would be just fine. So you would THINK that because of Chase's relationship with United/Continental (the reason why Priority Pass holders cannot access UA lounges) that they would simply give us United Club access as they do with the mileage plus explorer card. Shall I be the first one to ask ?

I really hope JPM adds some perks soon. Although I could possibly justify the AF since I used the 1K gift card and a 20% discount. but I'd prefer a more direct measure of value.

I used to be "Global Services" with UA that got you access to something called the "333" room @ LAX and the "888" room @ SFO. This was back in 2005-2006. I switched my travels to various carriers and now don't really have much loyalty to any airline although I do have gold status with Delta. With the recent merger with CO, I might go back to United exclusively although being in NYC I believe upgrades will be hard to come by.
