NFCU (Navy) Move limits and PC

All,

 

At my request Navy moved $20K from one of my cards with them to another for a total available limit of $50K.

 

I also did a PC from the platinum Visa to the Flagship Rewards.

 

This is now my highest limit, wanted to thank all the contributors here for the great tip.

You'll love how your FICOs won't blink with utilization on that card, if you're into that sort of thing.

In my experience they wouldn't move CL to open a new card. Maybe this is exclusive to that type of transaction though.

NFCU is awesome. My biggest help with rebuilding was NFCU. They REALLY trust there customers... I cant picture myself EVER leaving.

Who did you talk to? Just the regular CSR? I've been thinking about trying to move some credit from one of my cards to the other to make one big card and one small.

In November I moved some limits around by a simple PM. Just recently tried again and was told they don't do it anymore so it seems to be hit or miss! Congrats!

Is it possible to also convert my Platinum Visa to a Flagship Rewards Card? (while maintaining the account number, etc?)

With scores like yours, I wouldn't worry about inquiries at all. If there's a card that you want, go for it.

 

It's time to make your credit really work for you, not the other way around.

Just this morning got a CLI approved on the NFCU MC that I had transferred $20K from (bringing it to $5K).

 

New limit on NFCU MC is now $25K again!

 

I'm waiting for these new limits to post to the CRA's before I apply for anything else. (for maximum prybarage)
