  2. Hi everyone, I'm trying to help DW build her credit file with new accounts and increased limits. Her FICO 8 scores are: EQ - 837 TU - 819 EX - 825 The only inquiries in the last 18 months are for a mortgage refi we did back February this year. Oldest accounts are 23.7 years old with an AAOA at 8.9 years. Her current stable: AMEX PRG : $- (*D to 1992) AMEX Costco : $4K (*D to 1992) AMEX EDC : $28.2K (*D to 1992) BECU Visa : $25K (Dec 2014) BOA Visa : $16K (2006 - closed in early 2015) Citi Diamond : $13K (Dec 2014) JC Penney : $2.7K (2006) NASA Visa : $13K (Dec 2014) NFCU Flagship: $10K (Dec 2014) Navy : $2K (Dec 2014) Sears M/C : $7.5K (2007) Sears Store : $4K (2007) Target Red Card: $1K (2006) US Bank Visa : $15K (2006) USAA : $16K (Dec 2014) AU Accounts: - Chase United - Chase Southwest - Citi AA All accounts currently at zero utilization except her Citi Diamond, at 76% for a zero percent BT last year. At the moment, she does not work and most apps are using my six figure income (household income). BOA closed her account in early 2015, may have been because of the new accounts added at the end of 2014. They would not re-open. All her cards are used lightly, every 6-12 months to avoid closure. Most of her day to day spending (gas, groceries, etc) are put on my Chase United and Citi AA cards for miles. So, I'm looking at the best order to add new cards and CLI's. Obvious CLI's are: - USAA - Both NFCU - NASA Since cards are not used very often, we're looking to help her achieve pimpdom eventually. (miles and cashback not super important) We are considering new accounts with - Barclay's - NFCU PLOC - BECU PLOC - Maybe Lowes (we shop there often) She doesn't want Penfed or BOA. I believe that the Chase 5/24 rule MAY prevent any of her own (not AU) accounts. Questions is what best order for CLI's and new apps? I know that NFCU are soft pulls (or none) up to $25K. Thoughts?

  5. OP, please avoid this boiling turd. See other RECENT post here for details: https://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=565762 Consider a secured card instead. You might regret getting this card.
  6. Had not that of that aspect till I read your post, made me laugh!

  8. Once paid, all leverage is gone. GW letter could be tried, but likely ignored. How old is it? Is it within SOL? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Tell me about it. I bought a 46" 1080p LCD flatscreen in early 2007. It cost $2700 back then. Now, you can get far better TVs in that size range for less than $500. UGH! I know the feeling. I bought a 70" rear projection TV in 2006 for about $2100. Lasted till almost 2013 and replaced with a similar sized LCD for under $1K
