Wells Fargo Goodwill letter....it worked !!

I just wanted to share my bit of good luck off of a goodwill letter sent to Wells Fargo Dealer Services. I sent a goodwill letter pretty basically stating that my father died suddenly and that I suffered a severe illness immediately following that event. (Yes, that would be a mental breakdown of sort) I had at least 16 payments that were 30 days past due. I logged into my credit monitoring sites and *poof* WFDS is gone!!! The last negative is gone from my reports! I have been working on achieving B* also. Still a work in progress. Thank you CBs

Congrats on the old baddie being gone. As for the reason for it...I can relate. Had a similar situation (two year old grandson). So glad WF cooperated!

I wrote the letter by hand and sent it regular mail. I am thankful that it fell into the right hands.

May I ask HOW they resolved it for you? Did they delete the trade-line? Did they change the 30-day lates to OK? Did they change the 30-day lates to NO REPORT? Was it a closed account or an open account?

Hi David. It was a closed loan.I made the last payment in 2009. The entire tradeline was deleted from all three bureaus.

Thanks. I have been begging GECRB to delete lates on a long-closed Old Navy (also 2009) with no luck. Maybe I just need to keep trying and hope it gets into the right hands.

Thanks for the info. I recently sent a goodwill to WFDS but have not yet received a response. I used a different address and printed my letter.

If I don't have success with that letter, I will use the address you provided and write a letter by hand next time.

Dear goodwill,6yrs ago my mother had pass away back in 2010 . Since then things was getting hard for me I got hurt at work had neck surgery and they said my back isn't that back . But they replace the disc 5c,6c,6c7c . I know ive wasn't so great tours the end stay up with payments . And more surgery going through on both my shoulders R/L since my mother pass my life haven't been the same . Trying clear old bills . If it's possible can help to remove this bill off my credit. Fairly often, people google something, and they find us - they think we are the bank or company they googled, and they complain, or ask for something, not realizing we're not Wells Fargo or Citi of whoever they have a problem with, Most of the time this stuff comes to the admin email.

 

I even had someone from a major bank email us because a lady (their customer) wanted her bank draft stopped, and the insurance company or club or whatever it was, continued to draft her account every month. The bank clerk who emailed us was thoroughly confused because when she googled it, we were the first thing on the list. I was unsuccessful trying to explain it all.

I sent in a letter and was told that they don't delete late pays. I am so crushed. This literally made me sick to my stomach. The representative told me that I would receive a letter in the mail with some information. However, she read the notes to me that was put on my account and it said that they don't delete late pays off your credit report.
