Ok. So I have been on birth control for years. Like 8 years to be exact. All of a sudden now every time I take it I feel nauseous. I mean for hours. Regardless of whether I eat or not. Regardless of when I take it. Nothing seems to help. Heck, I took it at 11am this morning and I am STILL nauseous.

I really don't want to change it but I can't keep this up. No good. No good at all. Any ideas?

My first thought is to stop taking it!! Is there a chance that you are pregnant? If not, then perhaps your pill of choice no longer agrees with you. But I would stop taking it. BUT I'm not a doctor so yeah...

How long has it been making you nauseated for? Is there any possibility you're pregnant? Has your BC pill manufacturer recently made any changes to its formulation, like addition of any dyes or inert ingredients?

I agree with MDW.

Get with your OB/GYN and see about changing it.

I had taken ibuprofen for years (not for birth control, obviously) , then suddenly I became allergic to it.
It could be the same with these BC pills. See if your doctor won't change them. It also won't hurt to have a full blood workup done as well.

All of the above. Go see your doc. I've had to change BC because my body started to reject it after several years.

Have you considered Depo-Provera or having an IUD inserted? I would immediately discontinue what you're taking and use another form of birth control until you can get in with your doctor and discuss your next step. Good luck!
