Good Afternoon CreditBoard. My journey started in 2009 when I lose my house to foreclosure and I was evicted my credit score was in the 400's, luckily I was able to find an apartment within two weeks. In 2013 my friend said she applied for Jessica London was approved I decided to apply bam I was approved for $500 credit limit so I decided to try several more credit cards applications, here are the results.

 

1. Avenue - $250 credit limit now $1,750.00

2. Ashley Stewart - $500 - now $1,600.00

3. Jessica London - $500 - now $1,700.00

4. Victoria Secret - $250 - now$1,750.00

5. Torrid - $250 -now $1,050.00

6. Buckle -$250 - now $1,300.00

7. Justice - $250 - now $1,050.00

8. Express - $250 - now $1,250.00

9. Pier 1 -$500 - still $500.00

10.Pottery Barn $2,000 still $2,000

11.Dressbarn - $250 - now $1,200.00

12.Macy's $100.00 - now $600.00

13.Fingerhut - $500.00 - now $1,500.00

14.Exxon - $500

15.American Airlines - $2,000.00

16.Overstock - $2,000.00

17. Amazon - $400.00

18. Capital One - $1500 (3 cards)

19. Walmart - $700.00

20. Banana Republic - $400.00

21. Kohl's - $300

My credit score went from 691 to 654 from the inquiries and I only Capital One and Fingerhut. I'm just having a problem removing the bankupticies from Equifax.

Yup, CB is the learning place. You have to wade thru a lot of noisy posts. But the knowledge is here. I have yet not to get a viable answer to any of my issues/problems/ questions via the search button, topic post, or pm.

I'm barely starting my journey. Any advice?

Welcome. Read, read, read some more, ask specific questions and then read even more. Always work from real paper reports ordered from the credit bureaus.
