I heard you talking about this yesterday. Glad everything went ok for you. On a side note how did you take a creen shot with your IPhone? I just got one about a month ago. I actually noticed that I had taken one of my home screen in my camera. But don't have any idea how. lol

I just learned this last week. Hold the Home button and then press the Power button. *screenshot taken*

I requested a CLI yesterday via Secure Message and got this reply:

To apply for an increase in your line of credit, it will be necessary for you to submit an application for the Lending Committee's review. You may apply under your Navy Federal Online Account Access by choosing the Account Services tab. Click on More, then select Increase My Credit Limit and follow the instructions from there. You may also make this request by calling us toll-free any time at 1-888-842-6328. The Lending Committee will review your application and notify you in writing of its decision.

I don't know where the actual CLI button/form is. Does this mean if I ask for a CLI, it's guaranteed to be a hard? I'm 8 days away from my card turning 6 months old.

Edit: OK, found where to request one. Got this screen:

So, guaranteed hard pull?

Nope, not guaranteed.

I did it and my account is less than 2 months old. 150% increase. :)

I asked for $25,000 and accepted the counter-offer without a pull. It seems they give you a certain limit when you apply which may or may not be your credit limit.

Trying to go from 10K to 20K. About 6 months old. Utilization on NFCU card is currently 85.9% (balance transfer from last summer). Overall utilization 26.6%, 0 baddies.

I also posted this in the other NFCU thread floating around:

NFCU CLI spree

Results (util % is based on limit prior to asking fo a CLI)

Visa: $11,500 to $21,500 (open 18 months, 15% util)

MC: $10,000 to $18,500 (open 4 months, 30% util)

wife's Visa $2,500 to $9,500 (open 3 months 20% util)

All were instant, no hard pulls

I tried three times doing an on-line CLI request for my Platinum and it comes back saying that "a condition exists which prevents the processing" of my request.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Is it a joint account? I am able to submit CLIs for loans that are in my name only but I get this message if I try to do it on a joint application. I have to call in to get CLIs on our joint stuff.

So I took the plunge on my NFCU Platinum MC. Was at 25K, asked for 50K, just checked and now my CL is 30K. I will find out in an hour (when I can refresh my report) if I took a hard for it. Or, maybe the hard will show up days later. I will let you all know! Anyway 30K is my highest line to date!

CPLOC - $5K to $10k instant (Might be a hard pull?)

cashRewards Visa - $11.5k to $12.5k - Asked for $20k, offered me $12.5k with no review. Took it, obviously.

Thanks, CB! :clapping:

Quick question.... I just got approved for cashRewards last week. How long do I need to wait before trying for my first CLI? 3 months? 6 months?

I got one after a month and a half. I think they give you an exposure credit line at first. I got a $5k card but got a cli to $12.5. I'd say try it now and test the water. :)

Don't blame me if it doesn't work though. :P

At the very least, most people get an error message if it's too soon without a pull. I didn't get a hard or soft pull when I did it.

Here's a question for you: I am primary on the card, dh is secondary. HE can't afford a hard, I don't give a crap. Will they pull a hard on us both if they need to pull, or just me?

Doesn't matter too much atm, anyway, since this system is experiencing some kind of glitch that tells people there is a condition which requires them to call. The csr told me there's nothing wrong, it's happening to a lot of people and they're looking at it. It's been about a week since I first got the message.

Bump to get this answered. Will they try to pull the joint's CR?

I pressed the love button and asked for $20k, the system told me that I am approved for $14k now and if I wanted more it would have to be reviewed. I just accepted it. Does this mean that I didn't get a hard pull? Also, what will happen if I hit the love button again in a week? Thanks

Press the home and sleep buttons at the same time on the screen that you want to take the shot of. Only took me two years to figure out, I always had these weird screen shots in my photos folder.

Lol ;)
