I recently applied for an oddball that I was going to let remain sub rosa until a later date, but I will not be around much the next few days so I figured I'd get a thread going before I have approval/denial data.

There has been little discussion of Western alliance bancorporation. It is affiliated with several community banks, such as Bank of Nevada, First Independent Bank of Nevada, Alliance Bank of Arizona, and Torrey Pines Bank

Here is one thread that discusses PartnersFirst card from Torrey Pines Bank:

http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=337238

Link for cards at the Bank of Nevada:

www DOT bankofnevada DOT com/personal/loans.cfm#04

I applied for the Visa Concierge Credit Card

with three rewards programs to choose from:

* 1.25% cash back

* Travel

* Merchandise

Plus:

* 24/7 Concierge Service

* No Annual Fee

* 0% fixed APR for 6 months on balance transfers

and there is a $25 bonus when you sign up for the card

here are some of the terms:

Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Purchases 8.99% (prime plus 3.99% )

Cash Advance APR: 15.99%

25 day grace period

Method of Computing the Balance of Purchases Actual Daily Balance (including new purchases)

Annual Fees None

Minimum Finance Charge None

3% FETF so not cool there

they offer the same card as a TP card:

http://www DOT torreypinesbank DOT com/personal/depositservices.cfm#04

The only listing in credit pulls is a $25,000 limit for a 738 FICO in June 2008.

They seem to pull EQ.

after applying you can call 1-866-653-0938 for the pnline applications credit department.

an alternative number is 1-866-450-1402

when you call the 1-866-653-0938 number for the online applications credit department you might get a voice message system; leave you name and phone number. I just got my callback from my voice mail message.

my application was approved. limit: $20,000

funny. it looks like they use the same online account management platform as BMW visa (which is a terrible)

And Chase CC visa, and a few others, except this interface has more options and account maintenance, seems considerably better than the CC interface anyway (even though that one is switching)

my online chase looks completely different than BMW. is BMW just using an older release?

I don't have the BMW card yet, still waiting for it, however, the Chase circuit city rewards card used the funky site that is switching soon, and the parntersfirst cards use the same interface, (except better because it has an account maintenance feature) so if you say BMW is the same as PF, i assume we're on the same page? :clapping:

PS the CC rewards Visa is the only Chase card i know of to use that interface and their doing away with it in a few days from what i understand.

Hege, did you already have an account with them for the rewards deposit or did you have to open one up or is it an automatic thing like Emigrant did for those without accounts?

I do not have an account. I figure they will either start one for me or deposit after I open one.

The bottom of their website says "financial services limited to Nevada residents only." Looks like those outside NV can't apply?

not at all...check out their other community banks, like Torrey Pines.

Western Alliance Bancorporation is a $4.2 billion holding company headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. Its subsidiaries, Bank of Nevada, Alliance Bank of Arizona, Torrey Pines Bank, Alta Alliance Bank, Miller/Russell & Associates, Premier Trust, 1st Independent Bank and Western Alliance Leasing provide a full range of banking and related services to locally owned businesses, developers and investors, local non-profit organizations, high net worth individuals and consumers wanting a personal financial relationship. On June 30, 2005 Western Alliance Bancorporation became a publicly held corporation traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: WAL).
