I worked for Petco when I was younger, and the guy who bred our small animals, bred ALL the small animals the same. Very inbred and half were sent back because of wet tail. Our hamsters were horribly mean, especially the Dwarfs. Every two to three days I would come in the morning to clean the habitats and there was a bloody massacre. And they would bite everyone. I wouldn't pick them up to save my life, just used a hand shovel and put them in the box. I would suggest searching for private breeders even if buying a 3 or 4 dollar pet.

+1 The main reason my daughter is no longer being watched by my sister. Can't mix family and business I suppose. Actually, I've noticed my daughter is much happier in the daycare. So in my case it worked out for the best.

I finally received this item and it arrived broken and non functioning. I sent an email to the seller two days ago and he has not bothered to respond. It has been 10 days since the payment went to PayPal and in my account it says it was completed. Does that mean that it is too late to hold up the payment? Will PayPal do anything to cover me? Also, I paid through PayPal with a CC. Would I be able to contact my CC company to dispute it at this time? File a SNAD (significantly not as described) claim either through ebay or paypal. They will refund your money, but again you will have to pay return shipping. Thanks. I opened a dispute last night and still the seller has not responded so I am waiting for a resolve. It really seems unfair that I should have to assume shipping costs for an item sent to me defective but if that is the way they do it I guess I have no choice. What manner of shipping would I have to use in order to prove I sent it? I know the USPS is the cheapest but I don't know if you can get proof or tracking info if you send regular mail. If you ship from USPS you can get a tracking number. It's not as detailed as FedEx but it works. Most of the sellers I have purchased from use USPS.

My daughter is 15 months old. When I paid my sister it was $150/week full time. (I had to bring diaps, wipes, food etc) Now I pay a daycare $170/week full time. (no longer providing diaps wipes food - she provides it.) I do know the price will fall when Jordyn becomes a 'toddler' in daycare standards (2 years and up).
