  1. You must play ping pong. I don't get it... Dimensions of the iphone plus I have the iphone 6, and the ipad. For me, the plus would be too cumbersome to be slipped in and out of my pocket for an everyday phone. But it does work for a lot of people. The upcoming Samsung 6 and edge seem to have increased its dimensions as well. Actually it appears the samsung 6 is going to look very similar to the iphone 6...funny how that happens Ditto. I think the 6 would be a good size, but the 6 plus just too big to carry around in my pockets. I prefer a tablet for anything that size or larger: great for reading, watching netflix, etc, but I don't have to carry it with me 24/7 like I do with my phone.
  2. The iPhone 7 won't be out for 1.5+ years. Apple is on a 2 year cycle with full version upgrades. This year will be something like the iPhone 6S. But the S is generally a more complete version of its numeric predecessor. Not that the 6 isn't a decent phone, it is. But the 6S will likely have features we wanted for the 6... Plus, there is a chance that Apple may jump to an iphone 7 this year - at least, according to various websites. In any case, I think I'm just going to stick with what I've got: iphone 5, and maybe jump to the next re-iteration of the iphone (whatever they'll call it), down the line. Generally speaking, I use my tablet and laptop to surf the net and watch netflix, etc when I'm travelling. Though it would be nice to have a slightly bigger phone screen for reading books or watching movies (hence, my temptation with the upcoming iphone or new Samsung model) for times when I'm not carrying my tablet or laptop, not sure if a slightly bigger screen would justify the price for a new phone. I don't know if anyone else gets like this, but sometimes when a new phone comes out, I get all "OMG, I need to upgrade!" That lasts for a few days, then I'm back to being content with that I've got. Another new phone comes out down the line, and the same thing happens, lol. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  3. Since I'm due for an upgrade of my iphone 5c this summer, I was thinking about waiting until the iphone 7 comes out, and maybe getting that. But watching youtube videos of the new Samsung Galaxy S6 has started to make me wonder...maybe I'll go back to android. OTOH...maybe I'll just stick with what I've got. I don't use my phone nearly as much as other people I know (in terms of having a bunch of apps for everything under the sun and being rabid about the phone itself - not that there's anything wrong with that). I just listen to music, jot down notes, and surf the web occasionally. I generally use my ipad or laptop for organization, etc. Just curious, what do you like, and why?
  4. LOL, and nobody posting a million status updates a day. I like keeping up with my friends and learning about what's going on in their lives, but I had to block a couple of people because they post updates all day everyday.
  5. I second the "take pictures" train of thought. Did it with my most recent place and didn't have any problems. I hope you get your deposit back.
  6. Just thought I'd pass this along...just booked a ticket for Christmas of 2015, and there were a bunch of flights around the $400 mark (NOLA to PDX). Good flights too, without extremely long layovers and a million connections. Usually, I wait until the summer (which I always thought was pretty early), and every year tickets are in the 550-600 or more range by then - I've seen them as high as 700 when trying to book in November. On a whim I thought "I wonder how much Christmas tickets would be if I booked now", and was shocked at how much I saved. I know eleven months in advance might not be feasable for a lot of people, since a lot can change in that time, but I thought I'd pass it along if you're like me and are shocked at the high price of tickets for the holidays.
  7. It is irrelevant that the Lexus hit the Prius. If you hit rear-end the car in front of you, you were following too closely. 2 seconds is a minimum following distance in ideal conditions. 4 seconds is what I shoot for. The Lexus should not have been following as close as it was, but Jenner should not have been following as close as <unsure pronoun> was. Since Jenner caused the death and was negligent in doing so, <unsure pronoun> should be charged with negligent manslaughter. Not necessarily. The front driver's brake lights may not be working properly, or they may stop suddenly to make a turn, but fail to execute the turn.
  8. The official report now is that the Prius stopped for unknown reasons. The Lexus hit the Prius and jenner's car rear ended the Lexus.
  9. Strange question, I know lol. But this just happened AGAIN. Just got a call from a number I don't recognize. Picked it up: hello? Hello? Voices and noise on the other end. I hung up. The phone rings again a few seconds later, same number. Hello? Hello? Noise and voices on the other end. Doesn't bother me, but it used to happen every so often, now it seems like a few times a week.
  10. Down here in New Orleans. Where are you? @Tee - how have you been? Long time no see.
  11. It's been over ten years since I've seen prices that low.
  12. IMO, the best thing you can do is give money to a mission or another organization specifically created to assist homeless people.
