I just received an email that TrueCredit has cancelled my account because of 'excessive access' to my credit reports. Are there any others?

"Excessive Access" to your own information that you have to pay for???

How did you pull that off?

That's what I would love to know as well.

A few weeks ago, when TC was having all those technical problems, I couldn't pull a report for several days. Everytime I called a CSR they questioned me extensively about where I got my account link, what my affiliation was with WalMart and then insisted on cancelling my account because they couldn't "fix" it otherwise. Of course, I could rejoin at their current rates. Their focus was more on my account than the problem. I still firmly believe it was their way of slowly weeding out customers with discounted services. The couldn't do it in one sweep without explanation so they disabled a few hundreds at a time. I told them how fishy the whole thing sounded and they had no answer. I cancelled. I'm with CIP now - still a TU product and it's $11.99 and not $11.14. They got me anyway.

same thing here.

Excessive access to a member's credit report can indicate potential fraud or an attempt to tamper with the credit scoring system.

Because we’ve noticed excessive access to your credit report, your service and billing have been suspended to ensure that your information remains safe and secure. Please be aware that this also cancels any email alerts that you usually receive.

To gain access to your account and resume service, please contact the Customer Service Team at (866) 215-0740 during the following hours: Monday through Friday: 9 AM- 5PM Pacific Time

Just got the email this evening. I was using the Walmart link for $11.21 and only for a bit over two months. The excuse was excessive pulls might indicate fraudulent activity. Sure. I was using the free 30 day TU only for less than a week now and I signed on for the first time since Friday and was locked. So I just called to cancel the 30 day trial to make sure the sob's didn't get any ideas about charging me after that expired. Incredibly the moron still tried to sell me after the conversation was over. Imagine that they cancel me and lock me out and the salamander is still trying to sell me on ways to manage my credit through TC.:rolleyes:

I got the same email today. I've been usiing them for about 2 years.

Then they had the nerve to send me a second email:

Weird. What's "excessive pulling" of a daily monitoring service, that can only be pulled every 25 hours and is slow as molasses?

Also why are they asking you why you canceled your membership if they are the ones who canceled it?

Am I missing something?

BBB Complaint? or would that just make them stretch out the time between pulls as "company policy"..........and/or cancel us all to start from scratch

DUH, this would be why I'm paying for your monthly service.........

Two days ago I had to update my credit card to get access, put it on another card when I had a perfectly fine one on there already. I did make sure I still got the WALMART rate 'tho
