I don't know about "they", but I am done!!!...and, as it relates to asking, or ever posting about AU - I was done with that for couple of weeks now

 

Seriously, R2010, it was always "all good", at least for me...just got a bit carried away on the earlier thread....But, that's not going to prevent me from posting helpful advice, "congrats" and other niceties in your threads, can't stop me here

LOL. Now that recall, I saw that I couldn't PM him at all and attempted to email, which had a link and allowed me to compose a message. Then I was shot point blank in the face and my thoughts spattered about.

BTW, let me clear up a misconception that SOME people may have.

I don't worry about AA from AmEx because I have almost 30 years of "real" history with them.

 

Even though my AUs may have cards that read "Member Since 1982", their internal AmEx history is MUCH shorter.

IOW, AmEx will do things to them that they would never consider doing to me.

of course there is a difference between somebody who just have a "1982" number, vs. somebody with 30 years of real history, 10000000000000 transactions, and on whom AmEX has earned a lot of money on...no question about it...you brought them $xx,xxx over the years, and still in good standing - you are not a high risk.

I just got a renewal card and it was dated member since 1987 instead of member since 2007 when I got the SPG card. I had an old card in 1987.

I have heard of it happening automagically before, if the previous card was the holder's own card. And it also seems common for it not to read that way on the first card issued but any replacement or renewal cards. Cocomad, did it always report that way and/or was it that way when you logged in?

I made the mistake of subscribing to this thread.... I had 24 e-mails about this one thread, I thought something really cool must be happening after reading all the posts I'm a little disappointed... Although I did get naked and sing KumByahh it just felt right!
