My card says member since '11, but at their website it states a significantly older "member since" date. Which do you suppose will show up on my credit reports?

In my experience it should report as what ever member since date is listed on your login screen with AMEX

Hey, uh, I just got a couple of new AmEx's myself...I know I've read this somewhere, but can't remember the answer.

If I get my own personal AmEx's and then become AU, is it possible to backdate? Or does one have to be an AU BEFORE getting his/her/its own AmEx(s)?

Thanks.

ETA: Sorry, didn't see hbomb's post and BW's reply on page 3 about a similar situation. To confirm: it is possible to posses one's own AmEx(s) and then become an AU and then backdate one's own AmEx(s) even though the AU was after the fact?

Yeah you can do it in any order, AFAIK.

I asked this the other day because I couldn't remember and that was the reply I got. :)

:yahoo: :yahoo: That's good to know!

I would like to announce that Boy #2 has been re-added as an AU.

Said boy fell into disfavor, and was dis-enrolled for a few months.

BUT he has redeemed himself by promising to add CBers as AUs one he gets backdated.

Girl #1 will take the last slot, AGAIN, so y'all can start bugging THEM now. :P

So being a Wang AU is like being in the mob? Once you're in, you're in? There's no getting out? :P

It's also like the mob in that made men have to vouch for new ones. :P

Indeed! Share the love people! Especially those that are taking up more than one slot in a wishy-washy manner! :P

It really is very generous for CB'ers to allow others to benefit from their aged AMEX accounts. It really takes a lot of trust/faith in the person to allow them to see personal information such as home address and such! I can't deny that one day I wouldn't mind having an AU offer extended to me but I know that at this point it would do me no good as I'm not AMEX ready in their eyes :D Hopefully within the year my new accounts will have aged enough for me to be able to get my foot in the door with them. I do know that I would extend the goodwill of 'fostering' AU's to allow them to receive a nice back dated account as well. What comes around goes around!

Congrats to those that have been able to benefit from this awesome "program" :D

Yeah guys, don't forget about the security aspect in doing this with online strangers... A little scary but nothing a phonecall or two couldn't clear up I'm sure.

That's why only trusted members are invited to, or accepted from. :P

Once I get backdated 30+ years I want to move in with an NFCU member ;)

My AU card is on the way.....

Want to "pay my cable bill" for a month?

If I thought that would work it would be soooooooo tempting.

It could. They didn't ask for much for proof of address for my girlfriend and she joined through me. All they needed were either a utility bill in her name, paystubs or a govt issued ID.

We should have an NFCU "Roommate needed to pay utility bills" thread. :P

Lemme make sure the backdating works first......

According to your "want ad" you're already backdated. Let's take this to PM. Don't want everyone knowing our relationship details, since you are moving in with me so soon.

Looking for some expert advice!

My son is in college and has a Bank of America card with a $700 limit (7 month history), AU on six year old Discover ($6000), and recently added as an AU on Amex Gold with a 23 year history.

We checked his score on Credit Karma and it shows 735. He has limited personal income , but it seems like Amex is being very generous right now, What is the best course of action to get him backdated? Do we apply for a Zinc card even though it will probably not be backdated or continue building his credit history?

All comments appreciated :D
