1. I fit the description Link2K gave of being a newbie and making a mistake: 1. Both disputing/requesting credit file, and daily pulling. Healthy C* for me.. I am almost certain I am on it.

This is NOT a mistake people!!! Having a clean report (baddie free, not to be confused with inquiry free) is the ultimate goal and the priority. Therefore you should by all means dispute and not worry about getting added to chopping blocks. Bumping inquiries is nothing but a small fry in this credit game.

Getting rid of baddies = most important

Pulling daily = not important at all

Dispute away just don't pull daily during that time. Plus if you are disputing you will be getting monthly updates from the CRA's as they update no need for DP. If I would have just waited a month and a half to start daily pulling I likely wouldn't have been C*.

Mcdonalds? :o:beee::P

Link2k, Bob, foe.. Thank you for the elaboration. Yes, I am pretty sure im on bumpage C* blocks but my disputes have yielded much good results. I think the time im "done rebuilding (a solid two years from last month?) will be worth it. My score climbed just today! I posted it in my siggy. :) What I SHOULD have said was.. that as a result of really :aggressive:the CRAs for my file, I am now almost certainly on C* blocks. Not mistake, per se.

I also no longer advocate fast food. :)

hi im new here just signed up, anyway I have a business that requires some financing here & there, banks and cu's are always asking for my personal info to finance the corp even though they typically dont

require me to guarantee the loan they still want to pull my credit to see what my scores look like, here in east tennessee they will mostly use eq for pulls, as of today I have 38 of them showing up it is dropping my score as well asgetting the bank to whine about the amount of inquiries on my report. I have looked into everything to dispute these to get them removed or different websites that say they can do it but most are getting bad reviews on the net, so I came across this thread & read it until the wee hours, i am hoping that a guru on here can get me headed in the right direction, I have fairly good size bank deal going & would like to get these removed before they pull personal credit. any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

i currently use equifax.com for daily pulls for eq only, and have true credit fore once amonth free pulls, as well as experian.com for daily pulls, but i would need to be able to pull daily for eq only correct? Eq is really all im concerned with, which services would i subscribe to, for eq only that would create softs that would count? Also how many times could i pull per day is there a max?

Where are you pulling from? How often are you pulling?

To the knowledge Masters,

I humbly request your assistance.

I recently went through several app-o-ramas in the last 6 months getting into the travel miles and points game. I am active duty military and my orders to move showed up early. I am expecting to move in a year, so I will need to get approved for a mortgage in a year or so. My score is currently 742 per Credit Secure. My understanding is that I need to try to get as many inquiries off my reports as possible before I apply for that mortgage. I am deployed, so I can't access the Smart Credit website to sign up for that product. I have signed up for the USAA Credit Check monitoring Premium product, the Credit Secure product from AMEX, Trans union, Credit Sesame and Credit Karma. I am also signing up for the Privacy Matters and equifax products, but have questions. I see that the MPM product is free for 30 days, but I can't get the current links to work for me, any help? Which equifax product do I sign up for?

My last Hard Inquiry was today and hit TU.

My question (I promise I have read these forums and the ones on Flyer Talk for hours) is what should my daily routine be?

Should I wake up and log onto USAA, CS, MPM, Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, TU, and EQ everyday? Do I just logon, or do I have to do more?

With AMEX CS I currently am entitled to 2 new reports a month. Do I need to upgrade to unlimited reports and pull a new one each day?

With USAA CCM it looks like I just click on Refresh my report every morning?

With TU, do I just refresh my report or do I have to order a new one?

Credit Karma and Credit Sesame are self explanatory (I think).

How often and for how long should I utilize each?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

Inquiries make up such a small part of the mortgage FICO score, don't sweat it.

UNLESS, say you're at 718, and NEED to get to 720 for a better interest rate.

Well, now that I have signed up for a month of some of these services, what should I do? Play along for a month or try to cancel them?

Posted

Canceling should be no problem.

I sound like a stuck record, but I really believe in knowing what your "real" FICO scores are, for free if possible.

That means trying to get into PSECU for Experian

DCU for Equifax, and applying for a Walmart card for TransUnion.

When you know your FICO, it makes planning more scientific.

Ok lets say I want the Walmart Card for the FICO score. How does one get them to pull EQ? I was reviewing CP database, and I can not figure out why sometimes they pull EQ but mostly TU?

Since this question gets asked hourly, here is a thread for it.

B* = Bumpage
An unethical, but fun way of removing hard inquiries from EQ and TU before the 2 year expiration date.

C* = Choppage
Measures taken by the evil credit bureaus to stop us from having fun and enjoying life by resorting to sneaky tactics that try and stop us from bumpage. Usually this entails the removal of soft inquires from our reports to impede us from reaching the magic number of 85 soft inquires needed to achieve B* on EQ. This occurs once, twice or three times a month.

R* = Rapeage
Some credit bureaus, I won't name any names (Transunion) rather then updating their countermeasures to stop us, they let us have our fun and then one day ruin our party by reinserting all the inquiries we worked so hard to remove. Like a large earthquake in California, we are way overdue for this to happen so expect it any day now.

BW* = Bob Wang ph34r.gif
Self-explanatory.

Unethical?? What is unethical about bumping?! Hell, I can argue that the CRA is unethical for accumulating personal data about me.
