Just FYI, as I reposted quite a few pages back, it's good to have some other question or issue to discuss before asking for RD*. That may keep your account for getting notated for repeated RD* attempts.

I think it was Rebuilding2010 that I saw first post about this.

Granted this was posted two months ago but....

I can't believe someone remembers me around here! Lol. I love this community, I need to revisit more often.

Sounds like y'all had some fun while I was gone. 198X dates are nice, except when you get that message "there appears to be an error, your credit history dates back to before you were born" ☺️ Woopsie

Of COURSE we do RB! And yes, you really should visit much more often. You have much to contribute! :good:

and I thought those were your initials. I am such a rube...

You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste.

Good nutrition's given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you...?

And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed: pure West Virginia. What is your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp?

You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere...

Ok Hannibal, be nice! :aggressive::D

I could go back to quoting Heathers.

The question is, apart from the first initial shock until I realized that he, CV, was quoting...,

Do you , CV, have this memorized or did you have to look it up for exact wording... it is such a powerful statement.

As for me, family is not West Va, but Charleston, SC,.. few sticky stumblings, I was such a prude...

Everyone not to the name born is considered white trash in Charleston...

Preferable you have last names as your first so you count so that everyone knows "who is your family".

.

Mother had the name with family portraits over the cracks in the walls,

Father had the brains, went to Harvard on scholarship and made the money.

Then he went back to Charleston and restored all of the buildings and funded Spoletto and they kissed his flowers.

Justice, although he never felt good enough because they are vicious down there.

I live in NYC where it is fairly vicious but based on brains vs names.

I would never type all of that, I just go to IMDB and copy/paste, but it's one of my favorite quotes (mainly because one of Phil Hendrie's characters works it into a lot of conversations).

The line I always forget is probably my favorite... "Does he stink of the lamp?" I'm going to work that into more conversations, effective immediately!

this is a good one..

“No, there is very little music in the name Jack, if any at all, indeed,” she says. “It does not thrill. It produces absolutely no vibrations ... I have known several Jacks, and they all, without exception, were more than usually plain.”

No, I mean Heathers.

Veronica Sawyer: All we want is to be treated like human beings, not to be experimented on like guinea pigs or patronized like bunny rabbits.

Veronica's Dad: I don't patronize bunny rabbits.

I know what you meant, but I like Mean Girls quotes more

In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.

God I love my favorite holiday, Halloween!

ah yes, I had a 15 year old girl during the "duh" stage...

If, however, she had ever told me to talk to the hand, I would have had to kill her.

She was once being obnoxious to the nth degree, and I told her to "go play in traffic".

She has still never forgiven me.

Do any oldsters here remember the two commercials...

"DON"T let your children play in traffic" (showing a car screaching to a halt in front of a child chasing a ball, the advent of the cul-de-sac in American dream suburbs)

and "Its ten o'clock, do you know where your children are?" said in a censorious tone of voice... This was right before the danger of reefer madness.

At least you don't come up behind little girls and show them your 803...

That's just wrong.

I only do that when they're in their 20s and early 30s. On second thought, only in their 20s.
