This is perfect, CV. I did not find this on my search of the internet. I will use the AmEx MR rate, since that is how I purchased them, at .019/point , and will sue them for $1,976 plus out of pocket costs for fee for small claims court. This is about what I thought/hoped it would be. Well worth a subway ride to hell for SCCourt. I may not even find a lawyer on the other side and win by default. That would be lovely. However, let this be a warning that they don't play fair. Abu Dhabi time for a cut off in points will not play well in Small Claims Court I project. Greetings: I had 106,000 remaining Etihad points (had already redeemed 240K) and I was in the middle of the last online transaction of redemption with the balance posted in the corner of my screen. It was 6/30, 3.30pm so I knew I had to use them before midnight. What I did not expect was that they made their *cut-off on Abu Dhabi time* which was 8 hours earlier (it was not mentioned in their reward info, BTW). As I pushed the purchase button, the screen started blinking and it said I had no miles to redeem. I tried to work this out via customer service but they won't bend so I am taking them to small claims court in NYC- Agony. They do have a NYC office so I can use that address to appeal and they will have to be in accord with NYC laws. However, since I can't ask for the miles back (no space on the small claims form for this) I am looking for a way to value the miles at MAXIMUM value. Does anyone here know the program well enough to orient me to how to value them using an honest valuation of them at max redemption value? Since they transfer 1:1 MR AmEx I could use that parameter as well (which is how I bought them originally). I would appreciate any suggestions or outline of how to value them, again at max redemption value $$$. I am willing to be perfectly straightforward about this but I don't want to give the value away. The edge of stupidity. The question is where in the hell I read this. Early dementia, clearly. just trying to get all my points on the SPG, still have a few charges on monthly automatics but no airline charges, it was a slow year for travel. oh woe is me.

I am assuming she has the PRG ($195 AF with $100 airline incidental credit. yup. I feel like an extreme salamander. However, I know that I read it because I put it onto my calendar to remember to do it. I am thinking that I am going to get it this time and lose the card as I never use it. It was the first unsecured card that I got after many yrs of being creditless, so it is an emotional attachment. I think it is my only open charge card left.

I read SOMEWHERE, on one of the many points/credit websites I read, that there was a one month extension of the $100 annual airline credit through 1/31. I noted it in my diary and then called yesterday to AmEx to confirm and they had no knowledge of this. Did anyone read such a post and can you refer me to whoever posted this? Out of curiosity, why limitations on the milk? My daily staples are... 2% milk (should probably switch to 1%), V8 juice, canned tuna (on saltines) and Post Raisin Bran. The cruelty of impregnating cows with the almost immediate removal of the calves for veal slaughter creates tremendous emotional distress for the lactating cow for several weeks. When milk production dissipates, the re-impregnate her and she once again gives birth and has her baby taken away. They often bellow for weeks trying to find their calves. Almond and soy milk are pretty good in coffee. Butter is tough, as is cheese. However, it is worth it to me. Milk is also fairly questionable as a food product as it is constituted for the diet of a calf vs a human. If you DM me I will send you references. I was a big meat eater. Also, meat and dairy production creates as many greenhouse gases as the entire transportation industry and uses obscene amounts of water and destroys the ability of ranch land to regenerate.
