it seems you have to get lucky when EX is down

or they can't pull it for some reason

and they'll pull TU instead.

Like I said, sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake.

Amex pulled TU, and only TU for me. Since I got my BCE, they've soft-pulled TU, but still only TU.

The funny thing is that my TU has a PR on it, while my Ex is clean.

Ah. K. Double pulled. Thanks. Picture has snapped back into focus.

not always.

sometimes TU only.

I was TU only AmEx PRG. Had Ex frozen told them that I would get PIN and chickened out and thought that they would just close out request.

Instead I got a notice two weeks later that it was approved, after I put about $15K through DBF amex and amex plat to buy cars with payment showing from my name and bank account.

I am sure that had something to do with it...

However, I then applied for an amex BCP and they would not use the TU pull for that which is a credit vs a charge card.

I still have not gotten my PIN due to special handling and I am thinking of delaying those apps until a random and unverified (paid long ago with legal letter saying no reporting) CA is removed from my EX report. It is nearly a month since reporting erroneously and I have raised bloody hell.

That little episode dinged my EX 54 precious points, dropping me to mid 600's from over 700. I am NOT pleased. But the TU pull was a unicorn.

how are the blackouts?

the dark humor is always a gift.

Beer blackouts are hideous, necessitating large intakes of greasy hamburgers and tylenol. and more beer to ease the pain, very cold.

Bags of frozen peas on the forehead are also helpful.

I have paid my PRG in full, $7500, one day after charges for new apt.

Hoping they may do a double unicorn but doubt it.

I truly can't get my pin, my special handler is torturing me.

She giveth and taketh away...she likes playing God with me.

Kitten with a whip, for sure. very polite but oh, those claws.

B* General Guidelines

  • FIFO = First In First Out (INCLUDING softs, i.e. if you have hards newer than softs, you have to B* the softs first).
  • Freeze quirks. Pulling through ice.
  • All of this can be automated. Advanced Freedom Unlimited.
  • Why, When to B* - B* may have more impact with Eq08, but still should be done only after major credit repair has been accomplished.
Equifax

  • Magic Number = 85 (Hards and softs. Not all softs work towards B* and some hards are stickies, i.e. mortgage INQ).
  • C* = Choppage (usually once a month EQ will remove all but one soft for each puller in that month).
About C*

  • Using MORE than one puller usually leads to C*.
  • Equifax products like Equifax Complete, Score Watch usually lead to C*.
  • C* detected when previous months show only one soft pull.
  • C* projected dates.
Pullers that count towards EQ B*

How to B* EQ

Counting EQ softs

Transunion

  • Magic Number = 56 (Hards and softs).
  • Never C*.
  • No stickies.
  • Reinsertion = Sometimes a hard that was previously B* will be reinserted. Don't worry about. Just keep pulling.
  • TU Backdoor - When you check the BD all your B* INQs are still there!!! Don't worry about it. Creditors can't view them.
  • Latest Research & Development - Trans Union "Enhanced" Reports.
Pullers that count towards TU B*

How to B* TU

  • Sign up for SCP. Pull daily. Yes, it really is that easy.
  • If 2 months seems like too long to B*, you can also sign up for TUP and pull that daily as well.
  • Once all INQs are gone, keep pulling daily for 3-7 days (10 days is overkill) and STOP pulling. Resume pulling safely after 165 days.

WOW, what has changed? BW just laid out the goldmine in 1 post. Lucky for new comers. I remembered reading the 200+ pages few months back and still asking questions and Shifter was kind enough to bail me out at every turn.

We had a thread that explained the process in a simplified manner. ie. dumbed-down version.

Alas, it was still too complicated for the dumb@sses (I know you numbnuts from myfico.com are lurking here)
