Damnit CV  ...now you made me jealous and wanted to increase my Fidelity Amex CL. So I put in for a CLI from $40k to $50k (didn't want to be too greedy, that is a 25% jump) and got a call this number message. I was going to call later, and then I got worried because I realized (of course after the fact) that I just got a CL back in September, so it hasn't even been 6 months. Figure I was heading for a decline, was just hoping they didn't pull a CR.

I just logged back into my Fidelity Card and saw the CL was $50k...sweet! Didn't even have to call. Checked TU (they pulled TU when I applied and have did for the first CLI), and no INQ as of yet. Getting the $10k bump was nice, if I got it without a hard, that would be a cherry on the top. Fidelity now tied with NFCU for highest limit.

Thanks CV... :good:

Sweet!! :clapping::good:

I hate you

That's ok, I like me enough for both of us. :P

Any ideas where I can get a steal on that ugly blue bag you had at the Amex lounge recently? They can't cost much...

I'd rather haul a Hefty trash bag than be caught with that monstrosity. Might as well hand over my man-card.

You have an unhealthy amount of hostility directed at my luggage and me.

I like 55/10/10 personally. however, the other thing is your reports track when the CL is updated. so setting that up sooner rather than later gives you a possible advantage come manual review time where they can see that you've had that higher line for a few months and not just 1 month.

then you can request a CLI on the 10/10 cards and hopefully get those up to 25/25 next round.

Here is my current thinking. Criticism and witticism is welcome.

I think I'm going to put $55,000 on the B of A Privileges card, and $10,000 each on the Merrill and the Fidelity cards.

I think the Fidelity Amex and the Merrill+ are the two cards with the most upward potential. TreverHere has noted the potential of the Merrill card more than once, and CTSoxFan just demonstrated the potential for the Fidelity card in this thread.

The Privileges card is going to be our backup card for household expenses where Amex isn't accepted, so I don't see that one getting much spending anyway. B of A won't be giving me increases based on $30 a month at the dry cleaner.

I should have at least $20,000 in one-time expenses to run through credit cards over the next month or two, so I'll try to push all of that through the two 10k cards... max, PIF, repeat (prior to the statement closing, of course), and then go from there.

This, or some combination where 1 card is @ 50K or higher.

I'd call them back as soon as you decide!

and congrat!

I even 2nd that idea... it's a SOLID PLAN. :good:

I just called, and this is a done deal.

Note to everyone reading this: THIS WAS SHIFTER'S IDEA.
