I appreciate what I have learned and continue to learn from all of you on this site.

For the first time - probably in my entire life - my EQ is clean. Incredible feeling.

My 731 FICO is no doubt being hurt by the plethora of inquiries and 1.7 year AAOA.

Now onto B*... I have gleaned from a few wise ones around here not to worry about such tedious tasks such as EQ B* until reports are clean.

It's awesome... thank you, CB!

Oh... score also hit from the unintended consequences effect:

Got approved for Fidelity Amex in early December for 5K.

Has statement closing date of January 9th.

OK, cool, she thinks... use for Christmas, groceries, etc to get the 2% into Fidelity trading account.

Went to pay entire $42xx balance online on December 29th. Um... just *where* is the pay now button?

Had to call them... "Oh you won't see that until first statement generates blah blah" they say.

"Yes well, I would like to pay my entire balance... I cannot have that sort of balance report.. I want to pay it now please"

They explained how to go about it. OK - mission accomplished.

Or was it?

The next day, my "Previously unused Fid Amex is now reporting a balance"

So now I wait until statement, I suppose, for the update back to zero.

Coincidence?

Even if you did put EX and TU on ice and call the BD to request a CLI.

Ask them to pull EQ.

Aim high like 25k or if you already have 25k lines, 50k.

Chat with them and whatever they say keep asking for more.

The good news is they're generous with CLs.

Did you already recon that 5k line on open?

Good to hear.

No. I didn't, but get the feeling that you are about to say that I should have.

I felt gracious for the approval.

They pulled TU on request. (EX on ice, of course) And hey, TU might as well be a soft.

BUT...

It also is not clean - yet.

A repo from 08 remains there.

The one that just vanished from EQ this am.

I have scoured the obsolete thread but cannot seem to get TU to budge on this that is due to fall of in April.

Argh.

So, yeah... didn't want to ask at activation with that one remaining baddie.

Did I error?

Call TU and talk to a CSR directly.

If you don't get a positive response call back every couple of days and try with someone else.

Sounds good... other than the BOAT LOAD of INQ's (and new accounts).

Shouldn't I wait until I can B* some of those out?

BTW - maybe it's two boat loads.

Yeah, I'm an addict like that.

I think I may need a 12 step or sumpin.

Been there. Done that.

Yes, actually every couple days.

Eager? Perhaps.

OK, yes... I'm eager.

What kind of limits do you have elsewhere?

At the time of app, the highest limit for a non store card was 3K

Paypal MC that has been opened since May.

Since Fid Amex I have also gotten Chase United for 5K but it's not on reports yet.

Highest limits are store cards = Lowes @ $8.5K and CareCred 12K

I would probably wait.

Get USAA CCMP and start pulling.

Hopefully by end of March

all your inqs are gone, and you get TU clean.

Then you're in the driver's seat for a nice CLI.
