Anyone ever get a student loan baddie removed?

I have successfully gotten my scores into the 700's from a 490, however aes is still reporting my student loan baddies. Im buying a house and getting AES to stop reporting is very important. I have a year of on time payments being reported by the us gov dept of ed, but aes is still reporting the baddies. I understand its much more difficult, ive tried disputing, validating,6 jack attack, i pointed out specific incorrect info ( 623 dispute ) nothing has worked. Please if you've had success, tell us how you did it? I was thinking of an ftc dispute next and sending it to AES with a threat to sue

Im try to get late payments removed from my student loans but they were posted in error. My student loan company agrees with me and its 2 months later and Im still having a hard time getting them removed.

 

Someone more experienced may add to this but I think you can only get it removed if it was posted in error, otherwise you can't GW student loan baddies.

I have one 90 day late from Feb 07... Tried a goodwill 2 times, no luck paid for 12 years and paid off in 2010 and still no love from them.

I was able to successfully GW Great Lakes Higher Education Corp - I sent an email to the Executive Vice President of Lending and Credit Services, got a response from her saying that they will review the request. Later that night I got a call from a rep there while I was on the train, she said that after reviewing my account, they were going to remove all lates! I almost had a heart attack on the train haha. My GW letter wasn't anything special, it was just a quick explanation of my situation (unemployment, underemployment, missed payments) and then thanked Great Lakes, regardless of their decision, for helping me in a time when I needed it.

there is a thread around here full of us who have been working at removing lates with no luck-> using a backdated forbearance as the reason for removal. so far, no results, but i have an active bbb dispute out in hopes of something positive from it.

I was able to get Sallie Mae to remove 7 delinquencies from 4 different loans (28 delinquencies in all) about a year and a half ago. I had rehabilitated the loans, and while the delinquencies listed by the guarantor agency disappeared, the original Sallie Mae delinquencies stayed on (something they don't tell you when you rehabilitate). It took months of phone calls and letters and working my way up the chain of command, but Sallie Mae eventually removed every single late pay. I have the names & contact info of the people I harassed worked with there if anyone needs it.

I was able to get all lates and default removed with the help of the Ombudsman Group. My situation was probably very unique though. You might want to look up the Ombudsman Group and read their criteria before calling. If everything is actually reporting correctly I don't know if they can help, my situation the US Dept of Education made errors and ultimately removed all negatives and updated each account to closed, paid as agreed. No remaining lates.

I have goodwilled and disputed both Great Lakes and AES. No change whatsoever. I moved, didn't get my statement, and when I was finally able to get a forbearance they refuse to remove the lates. And they are as recent as 2/12, which is demolishing my score!

I was able to get the only late on my student loans removed with a simple email to Office of the Ombudsman. about 10 days later I had a letter from Direct Loans stating the late had been removed.

Had GW success with CoStep.Removed lates after the consolidation loan began being serviced by ACS and had a year of positive history.

I had a couple of accidental lates (out of deferment, thought repayment started 3 months after actual). Since it was for Perkins loans (serviced by ACS), I had to contact my school. Sent in a gw email and lates were removed. Guess it depends what kind of loans they are.
