Good afternoon everyone. My name is L. Cole. I have a desire to be here and read the information presented. I have a Chase Sapphire card I use when I travel a select few times of the year and it has been a very good card, great rewards and the whole nine. A little bit about me, I sing in a band hence my screenname selection. I do not have an Email account set up with Comcast. For the registering I have Xfinity and had to guess at what that would be since I need not my email that came with my service. I visited the Comcast Customer Care site and confirmed that I do not have an email set up, this in the interest of disclosure. I am versed in law practice as well.

I do not want to bore anyone with describing my singing activities, I work from home and the broadband is a requirement of this. I also have a gig this weekend and am leaving in the evening for the weekend to perform. Have a good day everyone. Awaiting getting familiar with all the goings on here with credit and related discussions. Excited for when I have time to participate. Thank you

Hi everyone,

I have been around since 2005-2009 under a different name and am now back after a couple years of unemployment. In the interim I used my previous nick in too many places and decided that it would be too easy for a CA to connect the dots if they are following here.

So while I am not a complete newbie to credit repair I am sure a lot has changed in the last 3 years.

Got tired of the MyF--- site's login problems and found this site to be more aggressive to the point.

Like this better and hope maybe I can contribute somehow.

Hello everyone. I'm 30 years old and trying to rebuild my credit. I'm looking forward to learning the most efficient methods that the veterans here have employed. This is a delicate and complicate topic to say the lease.

Hi Everybody,

I just wanted to introduce myself since I am new to this site, but the information I have learned already is staggering. The wealth of knowledge on these boards is great and I hope to learn as much as possible. I was recently thrown for one hell of a loop when I checked my credit score and reports for the first time in many years. When I was in my mid 20s I went through some credit hassles, but one was one scam and the other was someone else's information on my SSN. I fixed them both at the same time through my mother's lawyer, so I had no real visibility to anything. He took care of everything so I assumed for years my credit was golden. Now I realized how incredibly stupid I was. And that was me up until only about 4 or 5 weeks ago.

During a junk mail purge said time-frame ago between my girlfriend (TCBNow) and I, we decided that we needed to run our credit reports before we go let anyone else - for any reason. Obviously we found some letters we didn't like. We started on CreditKarma and ended up learning about annualcreditreport.com. We got our reports and that's when we both aged about a year in just a few moments. There were two times in my life when I missed a credit card payment, both on different cards and I assumed since I was a good customer otherwise, it wouldn't go on my credit report. Oops. I also found out I had a major problem with my personal bank with an overdraft loan I had no idea I had (I'll prob explain this one in its own thread). Plus a collection for $33 for a medical procedure I thought I paid from 2006. We went online and did some research and found some reputable resources, but we have eventually found ourselves here. We have already taken some steps, and made some progress - I think. After reading some threads in here it's hard to tell if something is good or not. This whole business is just confusing.

Anyways, I'll be posting any progress and share anything I learn here.

Things I've learned so far:

Even one late credit card payment puts your account - in otherwise perfect standing - into a negative item on your credit report.

Read your Freedom Unlimited**ing mail - all of it

Pay medical bills and KEEP THEM even after they're paid off

I need to actually use my credit card while I'm paying it off.

lots more...cant think of it all right now.

So thankful you guys exist!! With the things I have learned on this forum, I am expected to save open $1500 in interest over the next year or so! Keep it up and hopefully the things I have learned can be passed on to others.
