MyFico Scorewatch = FICO scores.

Equifax Scorewatch = FAKO scores.

This is incorrect. EQ SW gives you EQ Fico scores.

ETA - text from my EQ SW page:

Your FICO® Score as of 09/22/2010

808 Based on Alert

Perhaps you are thinking of Credit Watch, which may well give you FAKOs. (I don't know as I don't have this product.)

Oops my bad then. I thought (apparently incorrectly) myfico was the only one who provided FICO but it looks like Credit Watch Gold does also. :blush2:

No prob.

See, now I don't know about Credit Watch. Maybe get an EQ FICO and TU/EX FAKOs? Or all FAKOs?

dunno.

Someone who has that product will have to chime in.

btw, you can also get a real FICO score from TU, if you go to the right link (too lazy to hunt for it at the moment...)

So should I cancel my equifax.com SW and sign up with the NFCU discount? I don't even remember what I'm paying for EQ's SW.

Maybe the CSR can reprice your account without your having to cancel.

So Equifax's ScoreWatch is a REAL FICO Score?

If so, I'll sign up for them instead, IMO. I used to have myFico.com ScoreWatch but canceled it after 3 Months, got tired of paying the $12.95 for something I rarely got an update, but Equifax's site is 1/2 the price.

Also, what is the deal with www.transunioncs.com? I don't trust the site or it's "FICO" scores...

The EQ ScoreWatch is a FICO. The EQ Complete is not. Signing up for the EQ ScoreWatch probably puts one on the C* block fast as anything, if you care about that. It also is known to take a long time to update when there is a change.

I haven't tried for B* and even after 3 Months of pulling USAA-CCMP, still no B*, so I'm not too worried about it, IMO.

When I had myFICO ScoreWatch, it took at least 2-3 Days for changes to be updated. So how long is "long" in Equifax SW?

About the same for Equifax Score Watch, 2 to 3 days.

Hate to bump an old thread...but has anyone had luck calling EQ and getting their $12.xx price dropped to the $6.xx NFCU discounted price? When I called, they said I had to cancel my EQ SW and then sign up for it again via the NFCU link. I asked if there was any way to just prove I'm an NFCU member and they said no. So I would lose all of my history, which sucks.

Has anyone here subscribed to both products at different points and time and can give a better sense of any differences?

Gratzi. I was debating between sw or complete if complete gives a real eq fico, I can get rid of usaa/cs but it doesnt seem they do the reports, only the FAKOs for those two.

myFICO ScoreWatch is a little more user-friendly, and it tracks FICO for 3 years, IIRC.

Equifax Score Watch is a little clunkier, and only tracks for 12 months.

But, the difference wasn't worth paying more for myFICO, so I switched in January.
