I just used that fairbanks email a couple of weeks ago. Received a call within days and the gentleman agreed to remove the lates. I received letters via snail mail stating such and yesterday, the lates were removed.

PAID Collection - DELETED
BHill92393 replied to BHill92393's topic in Medical Billing & Medical Collections
Congratulations! 61 point jump is a nice little happy dance! How long did it take from the start of the HIPAA process to the deletions? I just sent of letters today! Thanks! I was glad to finally get rid of it, and get my points back Transunion deleted right away..like within a week. Equifax took almost the entire 30 days (they deleted on like the 25th day, or somewhere around there). It was never on Experian. Good luck! -
Not every business card reports to personal regardless of whether or not it was personally guaranteed. If OP had asked first, others would have been able to tell him that Capital One business did not always report to personal. They made that change a while back ( I can't remember exactly when) and decided to start. For those of us that had the card prior to them reporting to personal, they sent us a letter informing us.

Thanks! Yeah, they actually verified it when I initially disputed it outright. But that good old HIPAA did the trick! -
PAID Collection - DELETED

UPDATE: I've been watching the calendar, waiting to see what the outcome would be with Equifax. Finally, today, on the 28th day since they received my dispute, IT'S GONE!!!! WOOHOO!!!! I haven't received the results yet, but I did view my report through the backdoor, and I pulled MyFico. That one PAID collection from 10/06 with a Status date of 10/09 was costing me 61 POINTS!!!!! Thanks again, WhyChat!!!! -

I'm sure someone, somewhere, like a "Buy Here Pay Here," will be able to help you, but the terms will more than likely be outrageous! Where did you get your scores from? Have you done any work yet to try to improve your credit? -
Way to go!!!!

I had a PAID medical collection appearing on my EQ and TU reports. I don't remember exactly when it appeared, but it's been there for some time. I remember disputing it once, back when it first appeared, with no luck on getting it removed, and then I just left it alone, since I wasn't really in credit repair mode. This must have been a couple of years ago, and its been sitting there ever since. I had actually paid the OC, after receiving the collection notice. The OC then in turn reported the payment to the collection agency, Escallate, Inc., who marked it as "Paid." Fast forward to last week...I decided to fire off Why Chat's initial HIPAA letter to the two CRA's. I just received TU's investigation results...DELETED! I can see that EQ put it under "reinvestigation" so we'll see what happens there, Just wanted to share my success, and give a BIG THANK YOU and virtual hug to Why Chat!!!!!!! As Always, YOU ROCK!!!!

I called in to request it. Spoke with the regular CSR, who then transferred me to a "credit specialist." He asked my income and permission to pull credit report, then immediately approved the increase. Said I can call back in a few months to request more, once they see some balances paid down off of my report. Did you call in, request online? Or did they do it as an auto CLI? TIA!
