  1. I'm so sorry Coco. Your in my prayers tonight
  2. BTW- Hubby has scared off more then a few guys with the following words.... "You know.... she's my only daughter. I have no problem going back to Prison for her." (Hubby has never even had a traffic ticket! He's a bit intimidating when dealing with DD's *cough* suitors. More then one boy has flipped left (hubby TOTALLY scared away DD's Homecoming date last week! Not sad in the least!
  3. HAHAHAHA- sorry... GET READY!!!!!!!! I had 4 Ultrasounds with my first pregnancy.... it was a VERY well endowed boy! )the last ultrasound was 4 days before I delivered) Labor hit and imagine my surprise when the Dr said "its a girl!" (she came home in a boys outfit to a dark blue boys room) Girls are great! Just remember to always be open and honest with them (she's your daughter- she knows when your BS-ing her!) She'll be your best friend (and sometimes your worst enemy!) It all works out in the end Ditto- Mom to a 15yr old female (yes- she rules the house)
  4. German Irish Welsh I'm the run of the mill American
  5. Oh crap! Time to play 'Choke the child'
  6. HAHAHAHA!!! Sorry, I LOVE your kid!!! Sounds like she would fit into my family VERY WELL!!!!
  7. I don't currently have a house to landscape (actually I don't even have a perment address at the moment... I'm squatting I used to though. In Mississippi I had 2 acres of gardens. Come Oct 27th I'll have my own home again to work on (and YES! I TOTALLY have the landscape laid out and ready to go!). What issues are you dealing with? Which way does your house face? What are you trying to grow? Soil make-up? Sprinklers? Large trees on property? I LOVE landscaping!!!!!!!! Miss it more then you can imagine (never turn a hobby into a business though!). Send me pics and your area/ zone, house facing, etc and I'd LOVE to help!!!
  8. I think it depends on the individuals. I met hubby at 16 and fell in love. He was 24. We married when I turned 19. We've had our share of problems without a doubt! We have 2 kids together though and its pretty much us against them.... daily laughter is the key to success! (my husband is an salamander- he keeps me laughing every day) My own kids.... I'd prefer they learn from our mistakes. I'm not saying that young love doesn't work but I seriously hope they will wait and finish college before settling down (and if their *other* truly loves them they will either wait or finish school with them). Hubby and I didn't finish college until 07... we were to busy raising kids! I have funds set aside for both of my kids to ensure this. They don't finish 4 years of college- they don't get a dime.
  9. Haven't read the thread yet......... First thought- I REALLY wish more places would do this!!!!! A screaming child will ruin my dinner in a heartbeat! My kids are older (and I NEVER tolerated screaming fits from my kids). It seems the older they get the less I can stand to be around younger kids. Is it just me or do parents of young kids today seem to allow their kids to get away with absolute murder??? (ok, screaming fits are a long shot but I HEAR them often!). What ever happened to parental control? (even at 2 my kids knew better then to throw a fit in the house! Heaven forbid they did it in public!)
  10. Find a good Gray hair expert! 13 is a HELLISH year!!!!!!!!!!!!! (you couldn't pay me to go through that again with a girl!) Beautiful family though!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. You think that's bad? When DS was a teen, this one dude thought I was his (DS's) girlfriend. But back on target....when the birthdays roll around, I just reminisce. I don't have an "I'm getting old moment". DD just turned 8. DS will be turning 28 in Nov......now I have to tell people that I had him when I was 1 year old. HAd to laugh, sorry! GO DAD!! I love the son example! Your 29?
  12. Try being 32 and celebrating your daughters 15th birthday.... I LOVE it when people ask me if she's my sister!!!! (H*LL YEA SHE IS!!!!!!!!!!!)
  13. HAHAHA!!! My Dad says the same thing. Sorry to hear about your toe!!! I'll take a broken arm ANYDAY over a toe!!
