Thank you CB! I just got notice that my BK was deleted from my EQ report. It has only been 6 yrs, but I am glad to get it off!

I opted out of Lexus a while ago using the method of lost card as a risk of ID theft (My card actually had been used fraudulently in a different state somehow, so I did have a legit reason for disputing on that reason).

Then I started deleting addresses from EQ. When I filed BK, I lived in an apt and my previous address on EQ was the right street but no apt, so I disputed as never lived there. Once that was gone and I showed no previous address, I did a online dispute of the BK.

I thought everything would go smoothly, but then a new previous address showed up - and this one was the apartment address with the correct apt number. So, I filed a 2nd dispute at the same time on that address. That 2nd dispute ended yesterday and resulted in that address getting removed too.

Today, when I pulled MPM, I saw the BK was missing from there so I checked the status of the EQ dispute. It was still showing as pending, but had a estimated completion date of today.

I just signed in again and it now said ready.. and the details say :

>>> We have reviewed the bankruptcy information. XXXXXX The results are: This item has been deleted from
the credit file. If you have additional questions about this item please contact: Federal Bankruptcy Court, XXXXXXXX

I am so stoked now. :yahoo: Downside which I knew would be the case is that I still have 3 accounts that show IIB on them.. but they will all drop within the next year. I figure that since they are almost 7 years old, they wont play too much and with the PR gone, my score should see a bump. I am just going to let those accts lay low and not dispute anything with them.

I will update later tonight once I can repull EQ and see what my score did. Its showing a 701 on EQ Complete now, so it will just be a FAKO bump for now.

Thanks for all the great advice and knowledge here!

EDIT: I was impatient to know about score so checked the MPM score... went from 696 to 748!

Correction -- the IIB accounts are still there, but the notations about BK have been removed so now they show as closed/positive accounts.

So I decided to pull the trigger on something with my new higher EQ score and see what happens. Ive tried for a few different cards, but with EX and TU frozen, I got the "more processing message."

So, today I pulled the trigger on USAA. I am a "limited" member since I have no affiliation with the military and selected the NAMF MC (I liked the picture of the airplane on it).

I was approved for $15k - my highest limit, double my previous highest limit! :clapping:

Interest rate was 17.9% - which I was slightly disappointed with - I was hoping for lower, but since I don't carry balances its not too big of a deal.

My Merrick account should cycle tonight, if I get hit with the AF, it will be getting closed this month too. No need for it anymore.

This is VERY encouraging as I just got all old addresses removed from EQ and TU. I also disputed the bk online. I didn't get the lexis nexis feeeze so if they use LN to verify I might be hosed although I have been learning so much from these boards I can pursue other methods if there's a snafu.

disputing online is not in the interest of the consumer.

is your BK reporting in Pacer?

That's how I got my BK deleted from EQ and TU. Disputed off old addresses, already had all IIBs deleted long ago, then disputed BKs as not mine. Few days later...*poof*

Good to know. I probably should have disputed IIB first then but if this doesn't work then I'll give it a rest with the CRAs for a month or so then hit them with IIB disputes. I still have some goodwill letters to send and other low hanging fruit to knock out.
