I was at the Palms today here in Vegas and saw a new credit card application for a co-branded Visa with Palms Casino. The issuer is PartnersFirst which according to their website is "a new credit card division of Torrey Pines Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation." I submitted an app as it offers a 2.9% balance transfer offer along with an APR of only of only 12.24%. There's also no annual fees and I can always use rewards at the Palms (I'm usually there at least once or twice a week). The response I received was that my application was accepted and they will contact me with a response...just curious if anyone else has ever had experience with this card, PartnersFirst, Torrey Pines Bank, or Western Alliance Bancorporation...I saw nothing in the credit pulls database for any of these entities.

Interesting response, your app was accepted. The key word being accepted...which they have to do.

I can't tell you if I'm approved or not yet....but I can tell you that they pull Equifax. Its showing up on PM123 as an inquiry from TORREYPBK. I'll keep everyone posted when I hear some news on this app.

I posted this last night....but apparantly none of the late night crowd was familiar with this entity (just like me!)

 

Just wondering if anyone around the board at this time of day has any knowledge? Or am I the official board guinia pig? (is that how you spell gin-ny?)

The correct spelling is guinea. :clapping:

 

I just today received an offer in the mail for this card since I am a member of The Palms slot club. The offer I got is 0% for the first 6 months on BTs, with 9.24% after that and no AF. They have rewards of 1 Platinum Access point for every $1 spent and double points on select purchases at the Palms. I was also wondering about this issuer. I did a search and your thread came up.

 

You should post it in the credit pulls section so others will know they pull EQ. BTW, where do you live? Sometimes that makes a difference in who they pull.

 

Did you get your card yet? What kind of CL did they give you and what kind of scores do you have?

 

I was thinking of the Harrah's card where the points will be good at all of the Harrah's casinos. Now I am torn between this one and that one! Let us know how you like the card.

I just got the same offer in the mail. Too bad this didn't come a couple months ago during my app spree, I'm thinking if they pull EQ I'll get the "Too many inquiries" deal.

I applied for the partnersfirst card yesterday... They Pulled EQ and TU I had only seen them pulling EQ before... No response yet... just wanted a EQ pull though...

 

EQ is 700, (perfectly clean) TU is 650... not much rev, all current last 48 months and one CA for some cable equipment that was returned on TU... (being disputed)

Anyone who has gotten the Palms card happy with it? What CLs and was anyone turned down, what score, etc?

I don't have the palms card, but they did give me 20K for the 1.25% cashback card. I believe CP shows a couple other high limits too

Still a good card. No issues so far...

 

I looked up the 1.25% cashback card and that looks interesting too. I am kicking myself about the Palms card because the first pre-approved app they sent me had a lower APR so I should have applied then. I didn't take advantage of it at the time but they sent me another app to which I was going to apply until I noticed the APR is Prime + 6.99% instead of the Prime + 3.99% in the first offer. Everything else is the same, however. I wonder why they would raise it that much? The 1.25% card still has the 8.99% so the Palms one would be higher. I would like to have the Palms card though. I wonder if they would lower my APR sometime later on?

 

I take it the CS has been good on these cards?

Called for CL though and they said my app was "pending" and I'd know in 10 days... so apparently their info isn't quite accurate that soon.

 

I also got 5k at Cabela's recently (my first 5k card since the darkness began), so I'm loving these good leads. Thanks people.

You bet, they have several affiliates if it hasn't been mentioned before, high limits, excellent service (basically about as good as it gets) Did i mention the Concierge Visa with the $25.00 kick back not to mention (at least in my case a lower APR than advertised) 8.99% PF rocks!

It seems like most have the Concierge 1.25% back card. Does anyone have the Palms card? If so, what is your APR? I am still in a quandry about the fact that they seem to have raised the APR.
