Is the Pd card a siggy? I like the idea of a NPSL CC.

I'm pretty sure I can charge 50k on my plat with at most a phone call but doubt I could get a 50k Pd card. It's the infrequent, but large, set of purchases that my ideal card would support. To me that's more valuable than perks though the lounge access is critical.

So has anyone used a siggy for way more than their CL in a given month?

By siggy I assume you mean signature card, if so the answer is yes. The palladium has a credit line and credit limit. You can charge 3X your credit limit in a given month but you must pay down to your limit by the due date. I have a $15k credit limit and have exceeded it every month and it hasn't been a problem. I don't think you will have any problem charging $50k/month on a palladium card. I have read this thread and I am pretty sure I have the lowest limit and that still gives me a 45k credit line per month. In fact, I just called about a CLI but he said I would probably get declined because I am over my credit limit which has been the case since day one. I always PIF but by the time the statement date and the due date I have already exceeded my limit so unless I pay twice in a month I will always get declined.

Update. I love love love my Palladium card. All services are great! Most common response when using it...."man this thing is heavy!". Best response so far..." I've been doing this for a long time and this is by far the coolest card I've ever seen,"

On a separate note. I received my Visa Black Card annual gift this week. It's a black baseball hat with Black Card embroidery on it. Ooooh. Yea I'll be dropping it when it comes due in May. Last year was a black chronograph Swatch watch. They also dropped Priority Pass and now have a British company Louge Club. Still no access to United/Continental clubs on either one. They need to fix that. I fly out of Chicago all the time.

The benefits look good and I charge enough (5-15k/mo) that this card makes it worth while.

Just sent my app in and we'll see what happens with it.

good luck!!! let us know the result :)

hedge/casm/chrono... have you seen reporting yet on your card, some people say even after 3-4 months the TL is not showing up yet.

SHHHH!!!!!!

be very very quiet about this ;)

I was denied for the Palladium, so it's a welp.

JPM Select is reporting fine, but it was also a product change from a Sapphire, which was already reporting.

My app is still "under review". If you don't mind what were your stats when you applied?

I have 3 other chase cards that haven't been used in eons, except for one that I recently did a decently sized 0% balance transfer on. [still getting a fair return on a no-penalty CD, so I figured it'd be better just to BT and keep the money earning interest]

my numbers are in creditpulls but here is a summary at the time of my app:

2 open chase accounts (amzn and UAL)

chase also owns one of my mortgages

FICO unknown (Chase pulled EX) but my guess is it was between 780 and 810.

6 inquiries under 12 months old (IIRC)

the limit given for Palladium is higher than either of my other chase products. I expected chase to steal limits from the others for the Pd card.

DTI under 10% and relatively high HH income (2011 was a good year).

'2011 was a good year'.... few people in the US could say that. lol

well 2011 was better than 2010 for most of my friends and family. 2009 and 2010 sucked for many people close to me. 2011 my spouse and I had a liquidity event; nobody in my family has ever had something like that. We both grew up poor as church mice. 2012 will not be as good unless my keno strategy works out for me

I still wonder why JPM is not taking the time to verify income. Since the applications are entered manually (i.e., JPM is already spending a lot per app to process) you'd think they'd want this extra step confirming income.

No swag from JP. I've been badgering them about the United Clubs. Without them no access to lounges unless I'm traveling international. They did mention that they are certainly aware of the problem and it sounds like they are POSSIBLY working on a solution. Hope Hope.

I mention the UA lounge every time I talk to someone there too.

I'd rather have 2-for-1 business class like amex platinum offers or perhaps higher UR earning.

Remember the 35,000 bonus when you hit $100k spending (35%). Not the same, but helpful all the same.

An UA and hotel (Marriott or Hyatt) status benefit would be perfect...hopefully something is in the works...

their program benefits are linked to the executives in charge at chase/JP that came from amex (god i hate saying their name)

as for the income stuff hedge... they have access to multiple systems that many banks dont have because of the cost. they are able to 'verify' other ways without requesting it from customer. many banks request customer to 'verify' income.... and it's actually what the name says... they are 'verifying' what the bank already have documentation on but they want to ensure consistency across the table.

i guess what im saying, is because of the advanced resources they have, just because they dont ask for certain things, doesnt mean they dont already know on the backend. they are funky like that... now crap-ital one... yes, they dont know jack

according to my newly purchased micrometer, the card is .74 mm thick, 85.50 mm wide, and 53.90 mm high. the corners are curved.

card weighs 1 ounce.

I should have noted long ago that the card is non-magnetic.

Approved for 25k. Froze EX, pulled EQ/TU. 809/804 respectively day before pulls.

Took a week to move through the app process, but I experienced incredible customer service in getting my cards. If this is indicative of the main CS line and how they handle customers then I will be very happy to move my primary spend to this card.

So after reading about this card last week, I decided to apply last Friday. I used Chase's automated status check number yesterday and was approved for 15K :) Also, last night, my UPS account emailed me saying I would get a delivery today from Chase!

Anyone have any luck, or try, reallocating credit limits from other Chase cards to the Palladium card? I've got 1k on a BA card and some on a Freedom card that I'd want to move over to the Palladium and get up to 20k. Any thoughts?

I was told to call the Pd CSRs to request the limit reallocation and if they can't do it themselves they will connect you to the Chase underwriters. I have not reallocated yet but it is on my list of things to do.
