I need help setting up Quicken 2009 to pull my account balances from them but I can't seem to set it up correctly.

When I log into the website I use my Access Number of xxxxxmy User Id of yyyy and password of zzzz

Quicken wants my Navy federal Credit union User Id/username and my password.

I thought the Username is my member number but that doesn't work. Can someone help me out please?

it's possible Navy will not work with Quicken because of the 3 number process for logging in. Your member number is the access number, but then there is your user ID, and then the password.

I'm not big on storing my passwords into ANY program, FWIW...

Yea, I can help. On the NFCU Website you have to put in your

1. Access Number

2. Login ID

3. Password

Well with Quicken 2010 thats pretty much the same thing.

Here are the corresponding Values between Quicken and NFCU

(QUICKEN) User ID = (NFCU) Access Number

(QUICKEN) Password = (NFCU) Login ID

After this another window will pop up telling you that quicken wants a little more information and you'll have to enter a password. This is where you will actually enter the NFCU password that you use to login.

(Quicken popup window) Password = (NFCU) Password

I hope this Helps...

Navy FCU: Manual refresh required (Quicken Online)

Updated: 9/28/2009 | Article ID: 7418 Currently, accounts at Navy Federal Credit Union can't be refreshed automatically.

Instead, you'll need to manually refresh NFCU accounts. To manually refresh:

  1. Click any one of your NFCU accounts from the Accounts list.
  2. Click the Refresh button.

Navy Federal Credit Union is helping us resolve this issue, and we hope that automatic update will be working again soon.

The only thing that would make Navy work for me was to go to their site and manually pull down a generated Quicken file. After Quicken process that file, then all updates from then on worked with no problems at all.

Thanks, wajj, I'm just gathering info out of academic curiosity.

Just for those seeking an alternative, NFCU works fine with Mint.com.

I'm a fan of Mint, and have plugged everything into it. I especially like setting up budgets, so I can see what has hit, and what hasn't.
