Yesterday morning in Newark NJ, my soon-to-be wife's car was stolen from directly in front of our apartment. No cameras, broken glass, or evidence. Just gone. The Police report has been filed.. and in this snowstorm and Thanksgiving weekend, I am worried. Not sure the cops are looking, either.

This car represents our livelihood. PLEASE, BE ON THE LOOK-OUT FOR THIS CAR. Newark NJ PD phone # is 973-733-6000. I have the case # available.

ATTN: MODS/ADMIN - PLEASE MOVE TO GDF, I ONLY SEEK TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT OUR VEHICLE.

Thank you.

*The above photo is actually exactly where the car was taken from.

.. distinguishing marks: Says "Azevedo Motorsport" on decals behind both doors. Has sunroof, as you can see.

That is a popular car to chop. Best of luck.

Does that mean I get the profits? Thank you for the encouraging words.

My life has now been sent into an up-heaval. AND they got other things left in the car.. cases of bottles of water, and a few other things. AND a tank filled up before parked.

Attempting to navigate pics on a mobile device. I am making an effort to not post up duplicate.

If I had even the slightest idea where this went, WE (soon-to-be wife and I) would be out looking for it. Instead, we quietly eat KFC on Bergen Ave right now.

True indeed. But I have this over as much social media as possible, in the hopes it is seen.

I know it *could* be gone. I must hold out hope.

Sorry for your loss, but how can we help? The percentage of members here living in or near that city has to be miniscule.

I was even thinking of printing up "Cash Reward" posters. Putting them up around the city. (Of Newark.)

Check out this stolen car, left for two days on the corner...

**note: WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO LOCATE THE WHITW HONDA.

Snow be damned.. other areas have it waaay worse. (Boston, Massachusetts and Buffalo, NY.)

White Honda. White Honda. This affects a LIVELIHOOD...

4 options:

1. Car is never seen again.

2. Car is revovered... smashed into a tree.

3. Car is revovered.. stripped/burned/chopped up/a shell.

4. Car is revovered... left somewhere, (running or not it doesn't matter) and/or gets in a chase with police.. and we get a call when it is done.

I hope for the best.

Sorry for the loss of your vehicle! Have you put in a stolen vehicle report with the police and have you contacted your insurance agency?

Yes. And thank you

ACtually, we have quite a few members in that area. However, here is what they do. They cover the car with a tarp, while they haul it way to the chop shop. It is taken apart and sold in pieces. If you lived near the southern US border, it would be smuggled into Mexico and sold there.

Did you have it insured? That is your only hope. Although people feel they are paying for nothing when they insure things, and I know it's expensive there. Now you know why. Cops will never find the car. They know it. Yours and thousands of other were probably stolen over the last few days. Since it was not a violent crime, it will not be on the top of the list of crimes to investigate.

Go to a buy here pay here and pay a dollar or a hundred, and get a vehicle for her, temporarily. No one will ever see that car again.

Hard truth, told with love. Joe, you've come a long way, so just step up now, and handle this.

Some places will rent you a car for xx amount a week. "Rent a wreck." at least you wouldn't be stuck with it. Plan B - ask parents for help.

I will be happy to tell your step dad how much you have shown improvement here. That might modify the attitude on that front. And you can promise never to talk bad about him again. :D

What happened to that Chrysler?

This 300M was at the corner of the block where we live for... right about 2 days before it then must have been towed. I don't know for sure, but... It sure looks like a dumped stolen vehicle. (I had even said out loud that it made me feel nervous about parking the Honda there. I had no idea how right I had no idea how right I would be.)

Here is another pic of it... the fact it went untouched so long by ANYONE (including Newark PD, hello) was.. alarming.

And, a quick question: wood contacting the County and State (NJ) Police with the case number from the Newark stolen vehicle report help any? Or... NO? Are they "out looking for the car?"

You know that where you are, Joe, you can put all that gear on it to prevent it being stolen and they will strip it where it sits. Get insurance.
