Woo Hoo Congratulations Fallon!

I don't know much about cell phones but I needed a new one baaaaaaad. So, I entered a contest to win a new one ('cause I'm too cheap to buy one ) and actually ended up winning a Samsung BlackJack Smart phone... I don't know anything about these fancier gadgets and if I won a piece of crud. Is it worth keeping or should I look into trading/selling it for something else?

OC's are not bound by FDCPA. It isn't a bad idea however to approach them with a request in writing CMRRR to begin a papertrail with them incase the issue escalates. If they're crossing the line to harrassment, you may want to file a police report as well.

Where can I find a current list of state's that allow credit freezes? Everything I've looked at is out of date and I can't make heads or tails with creditlock linked on whychats site.

I'm betting that will be the reason for a denial of a Sears CLI - if it is, i am going to recon/complain because $580 just ain't enough for what i wanted to use it on. (No increase is showing online yet so i'm fully expecting a denial. The card was last used in Dec.) It will be interesting to see what Oct brings - the cards expire in Oct and if there is no CLI then they will most certainly be closed. IME Sears is is stingy and CLI's were difficult to obtain.

I've been having some family issues that has kept me away for a few weeks but it's good to be back to the board. Missed ya's! Handsome postman brought me a nice surpise this today. Target sent me a letter informing me I've been upgraded. Had the account since '94 with it's original opening line of 200. Been upgraded to visa with 4.5K. Yee Haw! They were on the chopping block for my August cuts after denying a CLI a couple months ago.
