More Capital One Luv from the Magic Number

I have 25K with Crap1....started at 20K, 5K CLI at 9 months -
Got my notice too...6.9F to 17.9V...no AF, 25K credit line, and a new resident of the sock drawer. Oh well, it was living there anyway. Hi to everyone by the way, hope everyone is doing well

Go BLUE CASH or CITI Driver's Edge........ Been there done that with Blue Cash, you need to put at least $20k a year on it to make it worthwhile. Driver's Edge pays 5% with no caps or expiration? Edge pays 6% for the first 12 months on gas, groceries, and pharmacy. After that it's 3%. You also receive 1% for every 100 miles you drive. The catch is your rewards have to be used towards the purchase of an automobile or car maintenance. True, but you also can use the rewards to dump into TYN as well

Back when I had a BOA card, it started as a student card with a 15% fixed APR. I was finally able to get it lowered to something like P+2.74%, but it took a number of phone calls over the course of a few months. Eventually got one nice lady who I was able to reason into lowering the APR, but in today's environment, I can't speak to how BOA will behave.

Is HSBC Going Under - Trading Halted in Hong Kong
supersanborn replied to philly_mscl's topic in Credit Forum
Oh well, guess that's one CLI I won't be getting -
Lust, Things may have changed since I last asked Citi about this about 1.5 years ago, but I had no luck. They were nice enough to voluntarily convert my card to something which reported the CL, but they could not force the CL to report. That being said, I believe they report a 0 CL now, which if you're floating a balance on that card at least will cause you to have no utilization calculated. Just a thought.

Frighteningly enough, even I have become more conservative

Citibank January 2009 RateJack Notices
supersanborn replied to cardcardinsider's topic in Credit Forum
When is this effective? I'd like to know too...I have been sitting on lots of points for the fixed flight options. -
I felt great about having over 100K with Citi until I read 310K with Chase
-
Sorry to hear it OP, I was also CLD'd to 2K on the prof card, but luckily it was only at 4K to start with.
-
Thanks Everyone! I've never had the automated system pull a hard on me, though I think when it tries to transfer you its probably to their credit dept so they can pull a hard. Anytime it states it wants to transfer me, I just hang up. Hope everyone is doing well this season.

Any bank can (and now will) hit you for any reason. Could be CLD, could be ratejack, could be closure.
-
If I had to take a wild stab, they probably would hand you a Chase Application. But that's just a guess so don't quote me.

Used the phone system and got a no-hard CLI on my 2nd Discover Card...6K to 10K. Hope everyone is doing well, and happy holidays!

Hi SG! Hope you and Ariel are doing well! Sorry to hear about the CLD, I noticed the same thing on a card I had with them. Will probably cancel it tomorrow as its totally unnecessary for UT and has no real purpose.
