I just recently opened an account

Savings
Checking
Cash rewards $10,000

Will they close my account or decrease my limit if I don't use the credit card much..I was only planning on using $500 a month and pif..also my other question is if I don't really live near a branch, how do I deposit my money into my savings and checking

You should be ok w/ usage. If you plan on requesting a larger limit in the near future you might want to step it up & PIF. Do a partial/full direct deposit.

There are no branches around me either. Have NFCU mail you deposit envelopes and for the first 90 days this is what you will have to do - mail in your deposits. After 90 days you can sign up for e-deposit if you have a smart phone. You download the app. Very straightforward. If you don't have a smart phone you can scan your checks in as well, but again, this is after the 90 days is up.

You know how banks always promote their free online Bill Pay service? Yea buddy...

Or you can do the old fashion way of mailing in your payments through snail mail.

I setup an ACH transfer between my bank I was migrating away from, and my new NFCU checking account. Then, you can push an ACH transfer to NFCU, then you would need to login to your NFCU account and do an internal transfer from NFCU checking to NFCU credit card. This is assuming you still have your old bank account open. But after 90 days, the eDeposit on my Android phone is pretty slick. Last resort, you can always snail mail the payment.

Why can't you just use the envelope provided with your bill?

As easy as Bill Pay or other electronic payment methods are, I've never minded using the "old way" - stamps and USPS. :dntknw:

You can make an electronic transfer directly from an outside checking account to your credit card. Just set up your outside account info and confirm the account through the letter that navy sends to you.

No need to move money from outside checking to navy checking to navy credit card.......
