Prepaid debit cards with no fees

I’m looking for a prepaid debit card that I can pick up in person. No monthly maintenance fees and no requirements of how I load the money (i.e. must use direct deposit, etc.) or how much I load, if possible. I just want a card that I can use for my business to help keep track of my expenses and be able to load what I want, when I want.

 

Do these exist?!

At the risk of stating the obvious, sounds like a debit card attached to a checking account would suit your needs. Unless you are trying to avoid using a bank account.

NO MONTHY/ANNUAL FEE

some credit unions have low cost options. IIRC walfart has a new option too that had very low fees (but not free)

I don't think there is a debit card available out there that will suit your requests. They all have fees. You can't avoid them.

Even WALMART has a $3 fee to load their VISA PRE-PAID CARD

BankFreedom has a card that's pretty low fee. At least for now. Someone posted about it in the Chex forums awhile back. Some posters were a little paranoid about WM's card as they felt it might not fit the criteria of lying low if you have to.

 

You can load from your PayPal for 0 fees. Direct Deposit (you said you have a business) is also 0 fees.

 

Does have it's limitations. Can only wd $500 cash per day. They do offer bill pay where they a paper check for you. It's $1. Cheaper than a money order and a stamp. Fast service. Your paper check arrives in a couple of days.

I did want to avoid using my bank account in order to keep expenses separate but guess it does make sense to get a separate account for business.

You can open a biz checking account to keep your stuff separate. Sometimes you can find banks offering cash bonuses for opening them.

PayPal...by far is your best choice. It is what I use to track my expenses.
