Dear! in Headlights Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 This site feels like an angel to me as I literally feel like a deer in the headlights:o (but "dear" because I am someone's dear). I haven't looked at my credit report for a while and can't sleep tonight because of what I discovered and the work ahead of me to fix it. I am scared about some things and gaining this information is valuable. I suppose it is good I am not an ostrich with my head in the sand. Anyway, it helps to know I am not alone and others have figured it out so I know I'll get it figured out. Quote
Banditz Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Hello Everyone! This is my first night on here and All I can say is WOW! I was in complete denial...I was the ostrich! Long story short I let my credit go a few years ago with a bad break up. Ever since i couldnt finance a tooth pick! Hopefully with the help of this site I can clean this mess up and finally not get robbed everytime i wish to borrow money. Btw my name is Will and I look forward to getting to know you all. i am a member of several forums, and must say, I am looking forward to learning the in's and out's of this forum as well. It really is a god send when people create forums like this one so that other's who are not so tech savy can have a place to go to in times of need. Thank you! Quote

neilsf Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 New user here. Still picking myself up from the ravages of divorce, 4 years of litigation hell. Feels like a bad dream I am waking up from. Step one: fix my credit. Thanks for the resources here. Like others, I am quick to find answers to my questions, keeping me from posting too much. Just opened my CapOne prepaid MC today; I have a long road to go but every day is a step closer. Thanks all. Quote
Mortgagase Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Looks like a good credit discussions site. Heard about creditboards at another site. My background is in consumer finance and mortgage lending. Keep up the good work! Quote

Admin breeze Posted November 26, 2011 Admin Posted November 26, 2011 cfl, I'm going to split this post off and make a new topic for you. It's too confusing to have people trying to get help for a specific issue in the "welcome" thread. Your new topic is here http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=479654&st=0&p=4577050entry4577050 Quote

FrozenFyre Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 I've actually been here before, but I lost track of the site a long time ago, so I may as well be new. My credit isn't actually too bad - I've been bombarded with preapprovals from Citi for some reason this past month - but I know my DTI is "getting up there" and I'm naturally paranoid about my scores, etc. I'd like to try for an auto loan pretty soon, but I know my credit's got to be in really good shape for it, so I'm really here for the "tips and tricks", so to speak. Seems like there's a lot of them! I look forward to becoming a (full-time!) part of this forum. Quote
Bolts858 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hi everyone. Been on here for a while, but haven't introduced myself. Long story short I used to have great credit (fico in the very high 700's). Went through some tough times and had all my cards sent to collections. Finally got back on my feet and paid everything off. Now I'm in the rebuilding mode. I've already been able to learn a ton here on this site. This place is a great resource and I look forward to getting back on track with my credit! Quote
niki616 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Hi everyone! Recent lurker and now member. This site is AWESOME and everyone here is so helpful. i hope that one day i can be of help too! Quote
NewShinyCD Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I found this site via Reddit. I'm glad I did. I've already taken the first step in repairing my credit (opt-out). Quote
mgracie Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I've been lurking for almost a year now, and signed up a month or so ago. I'm very grateful for all of the information and sharing on this website!! its been very helpful!! I have documented my progress along the way and will post when the newbie restriction is lifted. I've read TONS on this site. Currently into B* !!!! (first month). I would so love it if the restriction on communication (pm's) could be lifted so I could get qwerty's method pm'd to me. This board is just awesome! Quote

Dirt_Fishin Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 This is a super site. Talk about some serious ammunition to arm yourself with when it comes to fixing up your credit! You could literally draw your own battle plan to take back your credit report with all this info! Which is exactly what I plan to do. Best part of all, it's quite obvious that everyone here actually has your best interest at heart, and is genuinely honest with what they tell you. Thanks in advance for all your hard work and dedication! I have over 84 Negative Trade Lines between all 3 CRA's which include: Foreclosure(s) Credit Cards 5 Repo's Lots of Collections All this happened 2-3 years ago when the economy went south and gas was over $4/gal. Totally busted me! Gonna be a fight, but hey, I've got nothing left to loose. I'd rather fight the CRA's - CA - JDB's than file a BK. At least it will be more fun! Quote
Cosmos Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Wonderful site! Information overload I used info from this site to raise my scores a few years back, 2007 i believe. Unfortunately, I lost focus and my scores have tanked once again. Back in the fight Quote
FemmeNoir Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Hello all. I'm a noob, hoping to get my credit on track, as I want to open a business within the next 8 months. Quote
