Hello CB,

Well, I am floored. I disputed a CA that was collecting for an old Direct TV account back in Jan. It came off of all three CRAs. Fast forward to today, I wake up to a Enhanced*Recovery slapped on my EX credit report.Mortgage score tanked to 551. I am crushed. I am going to call direct TV and try to get them to accept payment. Then I am going to follow the pinned advise about paying the OC process. My question is, since I am in Texas, should I use some Texas Finance code Language?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Uh, did you validate the debt? Enhanced Recovery collapses very quickly as they have zero data from DirectTv.

I had the same thing from them, and they collapsed as soon as I complained.

I am going to. My thought was to first pay the OC.... I verified that I can do that onlline. Then send a DV to Enhanced. Then dispute with the CRAs. Kinda like a 1-2-3 punch...

No, do not pay anyone yet... Do your due diligence and have the law work for you

Did you receive a letter from them?

If yes, did you send a response within the 30 day window to validate the debt?

If no, you need to find a way around that to validate it.

If they did not validate the debt, then you need to dispute it with the CRAs, and if it still does not fall off, then you can sue them

THanks for your reply. No I did not recieve a letter. However, I am in Texas and can send a DV when I want and they have to comply. (Thanks Texas Mother Thread!) My thought is, they can't "validate" the debt if it is paid in full to the OC....

I had the same thing with "Convergent Outsourcing" for a DirecTv bill.

I filed a BBB dispute and the CA sent it back to DirecTv within a week and deleted TL's

I then paid DirecTv before they sent it to anyone else.

So far so good.

Gald to hear of that working. From what I hear, they can etiher be very easy to remove or hard as hell. I have to get this off. My ability to get a mortgage went out of the window this morning. I was so hopeful because I had JUST got my scores up enough too... I was just going to wait out a lingering dispute and was looking to put an offer on a house next week. Now this...
