NFCU new CC app - Question on TU vs EQ

Background: I'm about the to re-apply with NFCU for a cashRewards card. I was declined about 18 months ago (one PR and a couple other baddies that were near falling off). Tried to recon and after sending financial info, still declined. NFCU pulled EQ for me.

 

Today: My scores have increased, most baddies gone, overall my reports look much better. The one PR has dropped off TU but still on EQ. My TU is much better for me.

 

So the question: How should I go about applying. Should I call NFCU and apply on the telephone asking the CSR to only pull TU for the app ? Or should I just freeze EQ and apply online and hope they pull TU? Or something else?

Freeze EQ and they will pull TU. don't know why that doesn't get talked about here.

Btw, that only works on credit cards. Not loans.

I've never frozen EQ before. Is it correct to assume that it will not affect my B* activity?

I froze EQ and applied a short while later. Got the standard 3-5 day message online. Crossing my fingers!

The status since applying was displaying "Review In Process".

 

It now has changed to "Approved".

 

 

So how do I find out my CL? Just wait for the card & letter in the regular postal mail?

Yes, Bama had some good advice. I called and the friendly CSR told me I was approved with a 7.5 K limit.

Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved
for a Signature cashRewards Visa credit card. Your new credit line
will be $7,500.00. Your APR will be prime plus 11.9%. You should
receive your new card(s) in 7-10 normal mail delivery days.

 

This is the first Signature card in my history.

If you were approved it should show up in your accounts when you log on to the site.

Congrats! Are you going to app for the Checking LOC as well? I opened my accounts and apped for the cashrewards Visa and CLOC on the same day. I figured since they approved me for 10k with the CC I would ask for the same with the LOC and was approved.

You can call and have it expedited for $12

Great advice.....No reason not to have a Giant LOC sitting there in case of an emergency!

I did it online, but did make a few phone calls throughout the process. They asked for proof of income and then you have to sign and return paperwork that they mail you.
