Anyone can join, but you have to be a resident of PA to join PSECU via that route.

My mom is a graduate of one of the schools listed, so I am assuming she can join even though she lives out of state, correct? And I can join through here although I am also not a PA resident?

Yes, we know that alumni living in other states are eligible.

I applied while I was taking the online class.

 

PSECU took 7 months to call me and grill me about how I could be a student while not living in PA.

 

By then PRPS had opened up as an alternative, so I'd also joined it, that's how I got in to PSECU.

 

If I had known about HACC alumni, I would have claimed to be an alumnus when PSECU finally called.

When I signed up this morning this is the option I chose.

 

I would like to
join Pennsylvania Recreation & Parks Society Incorporated (PRPS) to
receive their benefits and to be eligible to join PSECU. The PRPS Friend
membership dues are $20. I authorize PSECU to collect and forward $10
from me to PRPS. PSECU will match with another $10 to pay the total
Friend membership dues. In addition, I authorize PSECU to send my name,
address, e-mail address and phone number to PRPS. To learn more about
PRPS, visit prps.org. Please note: A PRPS member who wishes to join PSECU must be a permanent Pennsylvania resident.
