I have my Carnival card up to $25k. Only use it for cruises, which we usually do twice a year. I got the card around 2006, I believe, with an initial limit of $6k. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I have a current Cap One that I've built up to $15k. Just pulled the trigger and got $30k. Sure wish they still combined, but I'll take it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I recently got my first personal Amex, but I've had two corporate cards in the past - the first was opened in 2001 in my maiden name(no longer active), and I have a current card opened in 2011. When I log into my account online, it says account holder since 2011 - so that got me wondering if I could get my personal Amex backdated to my old corporate card from 2001? Sent from my iPad

Barclays Maximum Credit Limit (CLI Request)
aggieastrosfan replied to qwerty4's topic in Credit Forum
I recently requested and received a CLI from $18.7k to $25k on my Barclays Carnival card. Sent from my iPad -
I had no idea I had a 780 score. Sent from my iPad

Love the Target card for the instant 5% off, but the $300 CL is ridiculous. Never been offered a CLI, and I use that card all the time - have to pay it off twice in some cases. Not sure how I can get a new Amex with a $20k line two weeks after requesting and getting a CLI to $25k on my Barclay's Carnival card (granted, I am a cruise junkie and use the you-know-what out of that card), yet all Target will give me is $300??? Congrats! I got a blue cash preferred and about passed put also. They showed my FICO as 780 and gave me a $20k CL. Only had corporate Amex before, so still amazed that I have a personal one now! Sent from my iPad

Discover Card Credit Line Increase Thread
aggieastrosfan replied to SunnySideUp32's topic in Credit Forum
Started at $5k in 2011. Got a semi-auto CLI (letter invite to call and discuss CL) to $6k at one year mark. About three months ago, requested and received CLI to $10.5k. Meredith Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD -
Our BK was due to fall off in March 2013. In January I disputed it as obsolete on all three reports for DH and me. The only one that didn't come off during the disputes was DH's EX. Meredith Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

This is a new one for me. We're currently trying to refinance our mortgage. The bank called and said both of our Equifax reports are frozen. Except we've never frozen them. I went online to try and remove it, but the only option we're given is to add one. Called the automated number, same thing. And of course I can't find a number to talk to an actual person. Is this even possible, or is the bank maybe doing something wrong on their end? She was able to pull the other two reports for both of us. Meredith Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I would love to hear some first-hand experiences on this as well. We filed in 03/2003. This past December, I pulled our free annual reports and the only neg was the BK. I disputed as obsolete on all six reports - DH's EX was the ONLY report it did not come off of - on the other five, including my EX, it was deleted. I really want to dispute this off to avoid potential of it being on a full factual, but I don't know how or when to dispute it again without it being deemed frivolous. So frustrating that EX will remove it from one but it the other - the language on the letter sent was exactly the same, with only personal information changed.

Best credit unions that reimburse you for ATM fees?
aggieastrosfan replied to mizugori's topic in Credit Forum
In Houston, First Community has unlimited reimbursements on ATM fees, and pays 2.75% on balances up to $10k. -
+1. I'm in Houston, the only airport lounges covered on the PP are Continental. Once they take that away, I won't have any available lounges at my home airport to even use. I'll keep the card open until next May, when my AF is due. I hate to lose a $17k CL, but it's just like throwing $150 in the toilet every year if I don't even have a local lounge available to use.

Yes, for some cards. like? Juniper, Priceline, Apple Financing. As always though , YMMV. Carnival is as well.
